As an introduction, here’s a quick recap of all of controllable ship classes in Starpoint Gemini Warlords, their default sizes and turret numbers.
Gunship Size: 3,5 Turrets: 2-4
Corvette Size: 7,0 Turrets: 4-6
Frigate Size: 20 Turrets: 8-10
Destroyer Size: 25 Turrets: 10-12
Cruiser Size: 40 Turrets: 13-16
Battleship Size: 65 Turrets: 17-21
Dreadnought Size: 110 Turrets: 28-32
Carrier Size: 150 Turrets: 24-28
Freighter Size: 15 Turrets: 2-3
Freightliner Size: 60 Turrets: 4-5
We tend to keep polycount up to around 30 000 tris, of course it all depends on the ship class itself, bigger the ship class, higher the polycount.
From what i know, size of BC304 class is approx. 220m lenght (which is less than destroyer class).
My suggestions:
1. Completely ignore real size, make a carrier from it (since it has 2 hangars of X302) and give 36 slots if possible ( http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/BC-304 )
2. Make it a small destroyer, BUT boost its hull and shields. It would be great if it had its own railguns + asgard beams as missles (so they wont fire automatically) or even light weapons so you could boost their damage too, but that would be too much to ask :D
Anyway, speaking about power i would prefer 2 slots in front (for beam weapons :D ) 6+6 on left and right side (for railguns) and maybe 4 more on back side also for railguns.
Shame we cant have weapons on bottom side of the ship (or can we?).
Also iirc, you can put as many weapons as you want on any ship when you mod it, you can make a cruiser with 50 turrets if you have where to place them lol. You just need to make proper power levels for that ship to sustain so many turrets.
But yes, I'd go with 5 front, 6 on left/right, 6 on back (4 on bottom, 2 on back of the ship but to count on back slot).
Hull: 35k or 40k
Shields: 30k (Asguardian shields ftw)
Shield refil:70
Shield down: 9
Battery power: 220
Battery refill: 15
Battery down: 6
Speed: 40
Cargo: 200
Heavies: 20 ammo per slot
2x hangar if possible
Some super fast paint editing about turret positions.
To me it seems like anything but "too weak", it could right on take on battleships and dreads/carriers. I'd do it with this ship!
Mods that bring "overpowered small ships from another universes" could fix this with kinda friendly way :-)
