You could try my mod "Courting & Marriage". No guarantees, though! Jarls are in the MarriageExcludedFaction by default and have a unique voicetype that does not have the marriage conversation. But I have seen stranger things happen with this mod.

If it works for over 2,600 subscribers, it should also work for you. You have to complete the quest "The Bonds of Matrimony" and meet all objectives of the NPC you want to marry.

Ah, you mean Ingun Black-Briar. Did you complete the quest she is involved in? Just meet all her objectives.

Igmund is male, perhaps? Besides him being male, he's a jarl and the jarls are in a non-marriage faction.

I agree! But, that takes a lot of research. It's at least something to think about!

Hmm i was thinking, perhaps if you marry someone of influence mainly Ingun or Bryling then the family and friends of that person should react differently to you, perhaps when you marry Ingun that the other black briar family members would respect you more.

It's not just you, Bryling does look better! I have used some other mods that are responsible for her looks: Better Females by Bella, Better Females by Bella Less Makeup and Caliente's CBBE Curvy.

Is it just me or does bryling look way better in that screenshot?

Actually, I think it was just a fluke. I had created a fresh save, or so I thought, but the next time I loaded the game it worked. Sorry for the comment!

Gender, race makes no difference! But, if the NPC is a questgiver and their objectives are not met, then they will not respond to you, even when wearing the amulet of Mara and after having spoken to Maramal.

Does this only let male characters marry any nord female? Because no nord females are responding to me... by the way, I'm a girl.

Nilsine is not a questgiver, but she is involved in a quest. Muiri from the Hag's Cure in Markarth wants you to kill her, but you may come to some agreement and let her live. The mod is as up to date as can be and runs with latest patch and all DLCs.

not that my russian is any better, but all i can make out of this is a question about marying jarl elesif although she used to be married, a secret quest at the temple of mara in riften (probably a reference to the mod "to have and to hold" where you can divorce or multi mariage through a quest, and if the adopted childeren are in any way affected at home when you mary any one of these added women. this of course is just based on the few russian words i recognize in the sentence.

has anyone tried marrying sigrid when alvor died in a dragon attack? and did her daughter move with her to their house by any chance?

@anonymous: according to elder scrolls wiki, mila (carlotta's daughter) is unadoptable, she will always continue her routine in whiterun, no matter if you marry or kill carlotta, she stays there.

Carlotta Valentia is available for marriage. Legate Rikki will be a tricky one, as she will give you a lot of quests that have to be fulfilled first. All objectives for any NPC have to be met before marriage is possible.Even then, Skyrim's Radiant AI System may prevent you from marriage and you may be turned down, just as in real life!

you should totally make marriageable guards, if that is possible of course.
