It’s sad that this mod is dead but a great alternative is Beautiful States Reborn (BSR) which adds tonnes of new states and releasables and is still in development

Could you add some states Iraq and Saudi Arabia etc Because it looks weird that syrian has 8 states but Iraq still has 3. Thanks.

Exact borders are not really a big deal, as all of the borders really fall into place except the states, which just can have whole states by themselfs, I didn't mean to task for more states, I was trying to just talk about more releasable countries in the USA,

(and if they became puppets of germany or japan, they take up the names like man in the high castle)

and I understand completly, you use your time whatever way yo please, and that's good on you, I don't want to force anything, just trying to give some recomendations on where to go next for the mod.

@Thyran, Well.. If I do keep an event based system, I would like to rewrite what I have and to make it more generic (to work for any nation), but thats a loottt of boilerplate code, whereas using the custom guis, in a similar but distinct vein of the Transfer States mod, would allow flexible situations without me having to code each of them in.

@Fools, BUT 'The Man in the High Castle' borders are either obtuse or based on geography, not the straight lines exhibited in this game in that area, so they wont be handled. Pacific States, or something like that, could be done, on top of individual modern states (like having Baden, Wurttemburg AND Baden-Wurttemburg), is a possibility. With that said, I have little time, and adding any of that will take a few hours of work.

@Foolz, glad you enjoyed it! I did make this mod for my own enjoyment, to make the game better, but of course other people can have similar likes. Ive never tested it in multiplayer though, so Im not sure if everything works exactly the same (eg the puppet event at start).
On the request side of things, I would like some more options for USA (and giant Russia), especially if you play as an enemy nation who wants to deconstruct it (as Ive done with Germany already). Ive also considered Canadian provinces (but havent any implementation yet), and have done Australian states already.

I'm glad that you have given it a serious thought. If you need any help in terms of planning it out, feel free to contact me. I haven't dabbled with a code for a decade or so, but I might be able to help planning out the structure of menu for that event chain.

A good example of a proper event based menu system would be in Chaos AI mod.

@Thyran, Ive given it a lot of thought, but I dont tend to have time to implement, but I would like to have greater control of such things, probably using the custom gui stuff. The puppet manager events havent been updated properly for all the new tags I added, so I understand its outdatedness. Plus its a mess of a billion long event chain, especially for UK and France.

When I have time, it will be a high priority.

I really like how there's an option to balkanize your colonies at the start of the game. Would it be possible to be able to do it for every nation in future updates?

@Everyone..
Terribly sorry, but Ive been rather busy with a lot of things, and havent even opened HOI4 in almost 4 months now. But Ive been working on updating this to v1.5.4 this evening. Just bug fixes not new features at this point, but I have some ideas. But 1.6 will be on its way, including more of what Ive already done in this mod (which Im happy for, not disappointed). Probably a few more months left for that but I havent heard a release date yet.

@tomos1515, In the current release, its not possible unfortunately. The way its designed isnt dynamic, and doesnt often check if you have those territories. I did try adding an 'idea' (under laws and ministers), for it before decisions were added to the game, and have considered using that instead, but ultimately I want to implement it using the custom gui stuff, which could allow it to be a seperate mod potentially.

@cba0725, Yes, HOI4 v1.5.2 had map changes (very strange for a minor update), so this mod will need to be updated again to deal with those issues.

Sorry about that confusion, I thought that the fact that it is out of date meant that it would not work but i see now that it does.

@cba0725, It was only updated a month ago, and the previous update was far longer ago than that, so no, its not been abandoned. I just dont update much, and I brought out this one shortly before 1.5.2 was released (which contained map changes..)

@HawkWasHere, Certainly not abandoned, but I hadnt started working on updating until today. Dont get your hopes up too much though.

On a side note, an odd coincedence that the Dalian state I added back in 1.1 or so had state id 745, and so is the newly added state Dalian in vanilla HOI4

@ClydeFrosch, Thanks ^^ I do agree with those points. I did play with Germany recently, bringing back the Kaiser, and I got Posen and Danzig back, but not Katowice.. An important industrial city. Ill see what I can do, but its a lot of work and Im rather busy for the next week

hmmm okay, i hope it will work soon, cause this is by far the best mod for state changes. Its just annoying when you play germany and you cant take Nord Schleswig or Kattowitz to your Reich

@ClydeFrosch, its not really just some number changes. Id have to redo the focus tree files for germany (did i change the japan one too..? not sure), browse through what states were added in the 1.5 update and shift the ones i added that many further, changing all the event files for the puppet manager feature, etc. At this point, I havent started with this mod (only a couple tiny ones I dont release), and am just enjoying the latest update.

But I do hope to release an update at some point. Not sure when yet, since I was planning on releasing an update before 1.5 was released.. and havent yet

@Arsta, the official mod? No, it doesnt require any others. I just renamed it some time ago to change direction away from just creating new states.
