Very nice puzzle with a clever solution. I really liked the ending fling over the fizzler. Nice inversion of how you get there to begin with! . Very nice re-use of test elements and gels! Quite uprising how useful the blue gel is despite it always being in the same place + can't be moved.

Great map, I like how the solution has to be build up in steps. Sure the dot signs help people see these steps, yet I find the white wall up at #3 kind of hidden (I always flew right into the pit and didn't see it at all). Plus I don't think this should be called V2 but PART 2 since it's a complete new design.
Thumbs up anyway :steamthumbsup::steamhappy:

so fun. Unfolds like the most elegant origami. i guess I don't exactly have a way with simile...but you get my point. Favorited

Nice puzzle. I kept sliding into the speed gel hole hole when launching to its platform though, so I had to quickly put a portal on the white surface. Seems unnecessary to require this for the solution, unless I was just gaining more speed than expected. Could still have been avoided with a wall though.

YES! great puzzle.
Red Minerals 4. feb. 2022 kl. 11:33
That is a nice puzzle. Its not very hard, and this version is easier than mr. lamda's because all of the decor disatracts you and you might question if you have everything you need. This is a lot easier, but I love the concept about using the gel to preserve the portals.

Just replayed this after at least a year, looks like I didn't comment then so I'll just say how awesome this is now . It is. 'Nuff said.

Still a grate gel puzzle and still good fun.
Petutski 31. mar. 2020 kl. 6:25
Excellent map, lots of fun and the final timer is just right. Thanks!

Who doesn't love an orange exit door? XD
Awesome map!

Another nice challenge.

@Joric Stract didn't remake this map, buddy. That was MisterLambda, and he did a great job.
Joric 30. jan. 2019 kl. 9:53
kek its the other way around, this version was published an year before it was ruined by stract
wildgoosespeeder 27. okt. 2018 kl. 10:48
Not sure if I like this version of the Hammer version better.
Joric 4. okt. 2018 kl. 0:48
My 3 minutes: https://youtu.be/qQgwtMKMp3M outstanding map, nicely complex and execution complexity is fairly simple. I could understand why people build remakes of it https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1528838546

@Bad_Aim Thank you! Glad you enjoyed both versions :)
Bad_Aim 25. juni 2018 kl. 22:56
I found this chamber through Wii2's excellent Hammer version of it. Really interesting playing the same puzzle in both configurations. Not as straight forward as you might think. In any case, really brilliant puzzle, loved it!

@Demon Arisen, not sure if you care or not, but I finished the Hammer-ising this map. If you would like to see it. Please feel free to message me on the Thinking with Portals Discord.
Demon Arisen  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2018 kl. 9:01
Sure, absolutely! Go for it :)
Wii2 16. juni 2018 kl. 7:02
@Demon Arisen, not an issue. The main reason I wanted to Hammer-ise this map was two-fold. 1) To practice my Hammer skills and 2) I loved the concept of this map so much ('cause I could complete it).
Demon Arisen  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2018 kl. 5:12
@Wii2 I appreciate the offer and I wouldn't mind at all, but someone else is currently working on hammerising this map and is close to finishing it I think - so that might influence your decision. I'd be happy for you to hammerise any of my maps you like, though!
Wii2 16. juni 2018 kl. 4:08
Would you be okay if I Hammer-ise this map? To me, it has a very heavy Old-Aperture feel to it.

@Nobody No-One Thanks so much! I really look up to BEN 77, his gel puzzles are great. Glad you enjoyed it!
Nobody No-One 8. apr. 2018 kl. 20:47
Really fun use of gels! It feels like a BEN 77 map. Your puzzles are always very cleanly designed and satisfying to solve. Good use of timed elements as well.

Meant to upload my playthrough of this yesterday, sorry!

Very neat puzzle. Not too complex, but not too easy either. I especially liked the final setup for reaching the exit.

@PixelPerfect Thanks very much! I have of course tried a couple of yours before, but it's unlikely I'll get any free time any time soon. I'll see what I can do, but no promises.
PixelPerfect 30. jan. 2018 kl. 12:56
Holy Hell! Nice One! When you get the time, can you try some of mine?
Demon Arisen  [ophavsmand] 1. okt. 2017 kl. 10:43
@Mikeastro Thanks! I think gel puzzles are definitely what I'm best at.
Mikeastro 1. okt. 2017 kl. 10:13
Very solid gel puzzle
bullfrog 28. sep. 2017 kl. 1:43
....but not sure if I did it by the intended method! Is there a playthrough below which shows what you intended?
bullfrog 28. sep. 2017 kl. 1:23
Brilliant puzzle, thumbs up and definitely added to favourites. All of it was excellent, but I especially liked the fling up through and fall back through floor portal, even though I only did it to see what I could see over the fizzler, thought “damn, nothing”, but then laughed with what happened next XD. BTW, the only reason for taking soo long to play this, is that I got confused and dismissed it as just the update to ‘Swashbuckle’, which I’ve already played and therefore I didn’t bother – pretty stupid hey! I am soo pleased I re-checked :)

Brilliant

I have been offline for a few weeks and had not seen that you were putting out some updated designs. I like the look of these
Demon Arisen  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2017 kl. 16:33
@metadavid Well, I'm flattered, thanks so much! :D Really glad you liked it.
metadavid 31. juli 2017 kl. 16:10
Thank you Demon Arisen, this is a truly clever design. You are quite a genius, I have to say. I played the original, and I think this is better without the laser element. This has a satisfying level of trickery and required logic to solve. I love that you can see the exit from the entrance, yet so much to do in between....

After having a good time playing this map, I went back to see if I've played the original and saw that I've left this comment: "Nothing too serious, just one of the BEST PUZZLES EVER!" It seems I've been in a very good mood back then :D But since it had a laser it also must've been quite differrent.
I kept comparing V2 to your previous gel map - Axiom, which gameplaywise I think had a better...flow (heh) and I liked it more but still -

Don't ever stop making these, they're awesome!
