I think I will do another rink in the future - because I love, and miss, hockey too - And I think it's something that needs to be in the game.
But if you want it as a park building - grab the source files and make one. That's why I post them.
Follow the link above and drop everything except for the .blend file in your asset import directory - %LOCALAPPDATA%\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines. Then run the asset editor and select a suitable park building as your template.
Feel free to modify it and re-upload. I'm not concerned about credit. And if you do decide to and you get stuck - ask any questions, I'll help.
The rink was orignally intended to be a sunken asset, the stands were added after I realized it was impossible to make it work like I wanted.
I'm not going to upload a variation on this asset or create a new one - but what I have done is delete the bench geometry from this download and re-created it as a new asset - so you can use it locally. It uses the same template as the download above so it should behave the same way.
I've stripped all the props out of it and foregone painting the terrain. Here [drive.google.com] is the folder where you can download it.
Download the .crp file and put it in C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets for Windows.
For Mac, ~/library/Application support/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines/AddOns/assets.
If you want to reimport the asset and set stats as you like, download all the .png files and the two .fbx files and drop them into the C:S import folder. Then go to the asset editor in game and choose a template. I probably used the Statue of Industry.
