I got it upon defeating visas on the ship at the same time that I got the first lightsaber part, going forward I built the lightsaber with Bao Dur and continued to get lightsabers regularly after that

mine gives me the green lightsaber but then going forward I start getting lightsaber parts as prompting me to build the saber, I didn't get too far after that yet and the lightsaber building conversation was skipped but I seem to be getting parts, I did go back onto the ship in the middle of a mission and fought Visas before finding the Jedi on Dantooine so maybe the order in which I'm doing things in the game could have something to do with it

My playthrough also gave me the lightsaber quest. Not sure what's going on with this mod now, but I did start the playthrough as a male exile instead of a female, so maybe that has something to do with it? I do have other mods installed, but everything has worked in tandem with no errors. The ONLY change I made was having my character be male. Any updates, Hassat?

Hmmm... I'll take a look

So found a somewhat funny bug with this. If you meet the requirements to get a lightsaber from Hussef in the Nar Shadaa refugee sector (Get both the Serocco and Exchange to leave the refugees alone WITHOUT killing Visquis or the Serocco leader), it awards a lightsaber energy cell fixture and starts the quest, making the next several sabers you would get the remaining pieces isntead.

There's a bug where the quest to create a lightsaber still shows up, I don't know how I acquired it but getting lightsabers in place of the items used to create it is working as intended.

when do I get the lightsaber?

I have recently played and it is indeed true. It seems if you start on Nar first and do any lightsaber part guest this triggers. Also Kreia doesnt recognize you have a saber.

this has clash with kreia teaching you lightsaber forms as it she dosnt recognize that i have a light saber no idea how to fix but uninstall

You can also activate cheats and give your character the lightsaber you want him/her to have. But I can see the appeal of this quest, too.

Theres nothing wrong with the quest itself, The mod is there just to skip the process of finding all the lightsaber parts

@Mr Bond but you could use the new parts to repair the old parts, the functions themselves should be the same

@keksalot old comment I know, but HK-50 and HK-47 are completly different models the parts wouldnt work m8.

Hello i found a location in the game that gives you lightsaber parts and starts the quest for you to obtain your first lightsaber, On Nar Shadaa, if you reunite Lootra with his wife you will get a part. Hope the mod creator sees this.

I always felt like it was odd that you had to go through so much just to build one. The only part of the lightsaber that is really 'rare' is the crystal. Just like how you don't loot the HK's for their parts to fix HK47.

I got to the point of the Ithorians giving me the lightsaber but they still gave me the lightsaber part. Thoughts?

The lightsaber line has no influence on any other training Kreia gives.

anybody else have a problem using this mode when trying to further your training with kreia?
cause one of my dialogue options with her is "i want to build a lightsaber" and i cant learn anything other than the sight and hearing

Based on what people have been saying, it's based on who you help on Telos, the Ithorians (Light Side) or the Czerka Corporation (Dark Side).
That's scripted to give you a lightsaber part. This gives you a lightsaber instead.

Actually, the Sith Governor in the first game makes mention that if he killed the PC and his companions, he'd get a lightsaber from Malak. This implies to me that Sith usually don't craft lightsabers, so much as they steal them and corrupt the crystal to be Red.

Also... Who cares? I've played through the game dozens of times on Xbox, and at least once on here. I think I'm done waiting for a lightsaber.

I have this installed but it's not working. I got the quest anyways after leaving Telos and got an energy fixture from Jana Lorso.

kool mod for people who want it at the start, but building the lightsaber really means something in the game though lol

so i got the lightsaber from chodo. But when i defeated visas after visiting korriban i got the quest anyway.. kind of bothers me really.

didn't work for me, are there any interfering mods in workshop for this mod?

This mod is convenient, but I've always felt that building your own lightsaber is a right of passage in this game.

Good thing you made this mod because I'm sure people are like "I don't want to find the parts I want the lightsaber now!"
