It's pretty much fishing level. You can only with this after you ''snipe'' all enemy colossus and bunch of high level units. May look challenging at first, at later stage it's quite easy once you have a larger army since Empire will never attack you directly unless you breach it yourself. I suppose there isn't many ways to balance it up because of Empire AI you chose.

While there is no way to duplicate the dk2 level mechnics, I did find this to be quite challenging. I had to beat each Coossus separately, which gave me time to build up my forces. I converted a large number of the enemies before opening up the bottom area, and had to use a number of Aureate Monoliths and Avarice Rituals to keep up with the gold demands. It is too bad that it is not possible to actually recreate the original level, since it had its own unique challenges in trying to capture the princes without any escaping. I also look forward to what you may be able to do with the final level, considering all the differences.

@Simon Evo
Interesting that he sent all of his colossi at you, with me his colossi were just patrols and only attacked me every now and again. As for the empire core I will keep it in so the Empire is actually challenging, with just inhibitors you'd wipe them out with little effort. If the Colossi start becoming an issue for people I could reduce their numbers or remove them entirely.

Was really interesting to see what you'll do to replace the "capture the princes" thing in this level. And the idea of getting to a portal you can't build a bridge to is quite good, given the tools. The sheer number of heroes is astounding here, but at least the player is safely walled in for however long they please before striking out. Overall I'd say it's quite a nice remake and worth playing... if you replace the core with inhibitors ofc, because getting steamrolled by an army of colossi rushing to your core the second you break the walls is the opposite of fun.
Btw, please tell me that the final part of the final level (wink wink) will be locked behind a Possession Door! It'd be an awesome conclusion, since Possession as a mechanic wasn't really touched upon in your remake of level 4.
