Thanks for this, the governments are too much for me.

Now includes origins. If you don't like the origins check this out: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2029864772

Attention: The implementation of this mod has changed. It is now a patch requiring GVP to work. Please subscribe to GVP to continue using this mod. I am doing this because it is infinitely easier to maintain because it requires 0 effort and will always be up to date with the most recent GVP.

And now the very minor update has migrated here. Bigger things are coming but I just don't have as much free time as I used to so progress is slow...
AlienFromBeyond 21 Eki 2019 @ 17:46
Okay whew, just Steam being... well Steam.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 21 Eki 2019 @ 17:45
I don't think it was actually deleted. I noticed the problem too but when I got home to check it out, I got a notice about needing to accept the most recent Steam subscriber agreement. That happened because I posted an update... which will come over here soon! Nothing's going away as far as I am concerned.
AlienFromBeyond 21 Eki 2019 @ 16:39
Why did the Government Variety Pack mod get deleted? Will this suffer the same fate?
SonnyD1 25 May 2019 @ 11:12
@AzraekSorrow Open the file in notepad++, go into the "encoding" menu at the top of the program window and make sure "UTF-8" is selected then save after making your edits. Not "UTF8-BOM" or anything else. That should fix it. For some reason notepad++ defaults to the wrong encoding with this file.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 14 Ara 2018 @ 7:05
Ugh, I can't believe this, the problem was that somehow the preview image got deleted?? Well, updated!
CrokusLorn 14 Ara 2018 @ 1:32
Have you tried uploading it as a desperate version instead of updating this one, I am not a modder but I have seen other fodder having problems updating
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 11 Ara 2018 @ 14:31
To go into more depth, there's no message other than "Upload Error" or something and I don't even know if it gets logged anywhere.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 11 Ara 2018 @ 14:16
It's an error in the mod uploader, not the game, so I suspect it's something Steam-side.
Cat-Lunatic 11 Ara 2018 @ 10:20
What does the Error say? Maybe post it on paradox mod forums or something.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 8 Ara 2018 @ 9:43
Note: Every time I try to update this mod, I get an error. Until I can figure that out, I'm not sure what the future of this mod is. Since the error is completely cryptic, I don't know if I will be able to figure it out.

Good mod, Now i can have Space Communists
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 24 Ağu 2018 @ 8:07
In what feels like a risky move that I kind of regret, I have made a hotfix related to civics spawn chances. Basically civics added by this mod were weighted at like 20% of the likelihood to spawn of base game ones. Now they should be just as likely. I'm going to have basically no ability to use my PC for a while so... hope this works! (Small change really, don't anticipate any issues.)
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 22 May 2018 @ 7:00
Update note: Anomaly fail chance is gone so modifiers to that will do nothing, civics relying on it will need to be reworked. However, this shouldn't break the game. Not sure when I will get around to updating but unless someone reports a show-stopping bug, please assume the mod works.
AzraelSorrow 11 Mar 2018 @ 10:05
Yeah, I'm not sure. All I wanted to do was make it so Enlightened Liberalism gave -25% instead of -20% XD
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 11 Mar 2018 @ 7:14
Welp, I'm stumped then!
AzraelSorrow 10 Mar 2018 @ 12:53
I'm just using notepad++ as I've always used for things like this. In fact, I've tweaked mods for Stellaris a ton with it (they were traits and it was right after the leviathan pack came out that I first modded/tweaked it).
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 10 Mar 2018 @ 12:09
I have a guess: maybe the editor you're using is opening or saving the file with an improper character format? It's been a while since I had to deal with it, but these files are very finicky and need to be in UTF-8 character format I think, while localization files need to be in UTF-8 BOM.
AzraelSorrow 10 Mar 2018 @ 11:03
Well, as I've said. Changing anything breaks it. I decided to just edit the core game file by adding the tweaked civic there. Doesn't have an icon but it works.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 10 Mar 2018 @ 3:25
Sounds strange but I don't have any idea why that would happen. It depends on what you're chaning I guess.
AzraelSorrow 9 Mar 2018 @ 17:18
And I mean any editting. Even just removing a single letter from one of the #'d lines even breaks it.
AzraelSorrow 9 Mar 2018 @ 17:08
So, I wanted to tweak a few civics to my liking, and it seems to me that any sort of edittting of the lrsk_civ_var_civics.txt file breaks the mod and I'm not sure why. Any ideas?
[Khorne] Shits'N'Giggles 6 Mar 2018 @ 6:40
ill help with art, just add me on steam and msg me.

Now live: Version 1.2 - The Gestalt Project

Updated for the 2.0 Cherryh patch. A slew of new civics for Hive Minds and Machine Intelligences. This is a massive expansion to the mod, so please use the bug reports thread if you see anything!

Also I really super need help with art because wow am I bad at art. I wanted to get the content out so badly but did so at the cost of some really questionable artistic decisions. Help if you can!
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 7 Şub 2018 @ 7:16
I don't understand the question re: "fuedal society civic." This mod only adds civics and I never had one of that name in here. Is the base game civic of that name not appearing when you use the mod?
dimitri.bazos 20 Oca 2018 @ 22:54
Quick question - why has the feudal society civic been removed?
Gwazi Magnum 17 Oca 2018 @ 12:43
The wording for Grandiosity confuses me. Does it only allow for one oversized station/ship like Dictator used to provide? Or does it allow multiple?

Because it saying "Enables oversized stations and ships" rather than "Enables a oversized station or ship" seems to suggest the latter.

I see workers councils. Workers councils are communist. I download.
Kreldin Starfeather 16 May 2017 @ 18:37
Ahahaha, that's awesome. Thanks for the fix. ^^
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 16 May 2017 @ 18:36
So, it should be fixed now. I think what happened is that when I made a change in the main version of the mod, I just copied and pasted over everything to this version. That messed all the name tags for the civics, and so all the localization and icons. Basically the game couldn't find anything for the civics because they were all named for the main version of the mod.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 16 May 2017 @ 18:32
Yeah I can see what's causing this, and it's weird as hell because I am pretty sure I prevented this from happening? But I'll push a fix soon.

188 subscribers and you're the first to mention this, lol.
Kreldin Starfeather 16 May 2017 @ 17:55
Seem to havenotced an issue today, where all the awsome Civic icons are replaced with just a greay '?', and all the civic's names are just the strings that are supposed to lead to the name. Same with the effect namefor the one that gives you the oversized ships. It's not a real issue, since the mod's effects still work just fine it's just a visual issue with thenames and icons. Going to test it a little more today and then tomorrow i'll see if it's a mod conflict, and i'll get back to you.
LittleRaskol  [yaratıcı] 13 May 2017 @ 5:20
Nice, good to hear.
Kreldin Starfeather 12 May 2017 @ 10:37
Works exactly as advertised! Didnt have any issues with it. Awesome work!
