Lethargic Sloth 18.7.2018 klo 16.52
Have You considered making a destroyed prop pack for star wars vehicles?
Servius  [tekijä] 29.6.2018 klo 22.51
Ay. Dont be a cunt.
[deleted] 28.6.2018 klo 14.26
This mode is awful. Please update it so it actually doesn't look like shit or just remove it.
He-Man 13.1.2018 klo 18.43
please make more models
Nick 21.12.2017 klo 19.06
I honestly don't care anymore. Leave it where it stands.
Servius  [tekijä] 21.12.2017 klo 19.03
Thats pulled directly from the report form.
Servius  [tekijä] 21.12.2017 klo 19.02
" It can make the process much quicker by simply adding a note to the bottom of the original content page such as “Copyright 201X [Owner’s Name.] This item is not authorized for posting on Steam, except under the Steam account named ______”"
Nick 19.12.2017 klo 18.02
You ignored my statement about just taking the fucking thing out of the desc...
Anyhow, leave at this, you own copyright to the code and physics model, not the model or IP.
Servius  [tekijä] 19.12.2017 klo 17.44
Obviously cant go to them for legal advice but thats because they arent supposed to provide counsel. They can answer basic questions.
Servius  [tekijä] 19.12.2017 klo 17.40
They start a dialouge with me every time the secondary party asks questions. They dont just take your content down. Theyll immediatly flag your content but itll be up till you either wave the fight or they are unable to confirm the counter claims legitmacy.
Appo 19.12.2017 klo 17.34
No they don't, if they did they would of contacted me. They removed it without any conference with me and stated if I found the removal to be false I should take legal actions.
Servius  [tekijä] 19.12.2017 klo 17.30
Ive had more than extended conversation. They handle the situation in a case by case basis. They arent generic af support staff. My "Vague" statement is the required one in the report section.
Nick 19.12.2017 klo 16.32
To be fair I don't believe your proof and bullshit arguments mean't anything to the Steam employees, they most likely checked both addons out for a split moment and took it down.

As well, under copyright law, yes, you would have gained copyright textures and code, not the model itself, thats under Disney's protection. As well they own the StarWars IP, techiniclly they could claim your addon any moment. As well you should be more specific about your statement in your description, rather than a vague, "I own the whole thing." more of exactly what you stated.

Or, better yet, just fucking take it off the description. If you keep it on there you'll just get in more arguments, at this point I think you like them. You keep telling people to stop the conversation, then take it off. You realize if you have 'copyright' over this addon then you don't need to state this, obviously you can DMCA someone if they reuploaded, so why the fuck have it on there? So you have start more arguments?
Appo 19.12.2017 klo 1.52
Because steam employees have no context on the situation and honestly probably don't care. All they did was look at my addon using the same model as yours, not the fact you have no rights over it.
Servius  [tekijä] 18.12.2017 klo 23.04
Dude, when you published it I DMCA'd it and WON. I had proof, I had claim, and it was RATIFIED. You LOST.
Appo 18.12.2017 klo 23.02
When I published the dt-29 you had a hissy fit that the model was yours when you had no proof or claim over the model. All you did was port it, that doesnt give you claiming rights.
Servius  [tekijä] 18.12.2017 klo 22.36
How well do you think that statement, that literally every single one of you like to yell at the top of your lungs, has faired in ANY of the situations ive had to deal with?
Appo 18.12.2017 klo 21.21
YES YOU ARE, YOU ARE CLAIMING THIS MODEL
Servius  [tekijä] 18.12.2017 klo 21.15
and I wouldnt win in a lawsuit with disney. The reference model is theirs, but like I said, im not claiming the reference model.
Servius  [tekijä] 18.12.2017 klo 21.14
The model by disney is disneys. The physics model (created by me), the code (created by me), and whatever other shit I had to do custom to make shit work is what Im copyrighting. When I create a texture, that texture is mine. just because it once got used to texture a disney ship doesnt make it any less my work. I honestly have no idea why Appo is starting this argument up again. Ive dmca'd him once already and he lost that argument. Literally every major star wars server community has tried to fight me on this shit and its always ended up in my favor UNLESS I mistakingly believed the work within the pack was my own. But thats only happened once. so. yeah. Im talking in the 400+ cases of activley excericing my rights as the content owner and not losing once. To avoid sounding like a hot shot lawyer infomercial, Im right and I win because im right.
Nick 18.12.2017 klo 14.42
If you can beat Disney in a law suit over StarWars models then i'll believe you.
Appo 18.12.2017 klo 1.50
yeah honestly, becasue you have no right over this content, CC (creative copyright or whatever it is called) is just a right for you to use other people's content and create modifications and have your own rendition over it, not bloody put your own copyright on it
Nick 17.12.2017 klo 20.17
In what way do you have copyright for this piece of content?
Servius  [tekijä] 17.12.2017 klo 20.13
Has every right for* Really want to start that argument up again? Not exactly something you won in practice.
Appo 15.12.2017 klo 20.08
yeah servius is notoriously known for copyrighting content he has no rights over
Nick 15.12.2017 klo 17.41
Copyright for model not created by you?
He-Man 14.11.2017 klo 17.24

Yes to both.
DInoFury223 5.5.2017 klo 15.39
yo you got any AT-TE models that arent destroyed and any AT-AT models that arent from battlefront 2?
Stellaris 3.5.2017 klo 20.34
Neat, im looking forward to the other models you found.
Servius  [tekijä] 2.5.2017 klo 23.07
Was a combo of the overwatch stuff TFA was releasing and the star wars stuff he was releasing in massive quanaties. Was making like $20-30 a model.
Appo 2.5.2017 klo 22.53
Has happened with the TFA weapons pack.
TrollBobMan 2.5.2017 klo 22.51
99% of the stuff on the workshop is ripped content. I highly doubt that you're at risk of getting into any legal troubles. At most, Valve would get a cease and desist, from whatever company owns the content, ordering them to take it down off of the workshop, but I've yet to see that happen.
TrollBobMan 2.5.2017 klo 22.43
Well, seeing as how the Steam employees have already set a precedence by taking down certain addons that you reported to them, I would believe that it is safe to assume that they are not going to change their stance towards your reports.
Servius  [tekijä] 2.5.2017 klo 22.40
and if im at risk of legally getting screwed im not sure its exactly worth the harassment ive faced on a more than daily basis.
Servius  [tekijä] 2.5.2017 klo 22.39
I know it sounds childish but its honestly the only options I see open here. If Im going to be attacked everytime I try to release something and continue to guide it after the initial release I honestly dont know if its worth spending the time to do any of this.
