It is a block that looks like a Portal gun. As of now,the game engine cannot support coding for objects such as things like a working portal gun. This is a decorational block that looks like a Portal gun. In short, it's a block. Not a real Portal gun.

Thanks for the feedback Brody! I am not sure why they can't be placed on buttons, but I will try to fix that soon!

the tall buttons and turrets float, the buttons will not let blocks be underneath, and there are no items from this mod aside from the portal gun that can be placed on blocks you place. i hope you can fix it soon.

you should probably post some images of the actual mod, that way people can see the quaity of the mod and help you through feedback
