Any updates on this map like is it complete etc? Thanks! Having troubles trying to find new maps to play that don't screw up other ones.

I hope you consider making the map open source. Would love to see someone continue your work on this. Even now, it still seems to be one of the top rated mods on the workshop.

You guys he said he was halting production on this map and was gonna cease updates for a while. Its been near 2 years now and not a single update. Its abandoned.

yeah sadly right after I released this map, I got a promotion and undertook new responsibilities, and now I have a home and I am starting a family. I was hoping to be able to get back to mapping, but sadly I do not have time atm. idk what the future may hold for my free time. Thank you all for playing my map! And I hope to continue one day.

If my memory serves me correctly, and looking at the last time it was updated i think it does, this map was all but abandoned a long time ago.

That's a fairly good looking map, but there's one tiny detail that bugs me off... HOW DO I PLAY ON IT ? I havn't found one single stone I could pick up ! Therfore, no pickaxe, therefore, nothing else either since you absolutely NEED a pickaxe

can you get desert resources in the desert?

I have to say, I LIKE the map. The spawns are a little Iffy, but otherwise, it's cool. Willing to beta test it all the time.

Sorry so many people can't just be thankful. Oh well. I have a few questions however,
How long do you think this map is away from being playable? Unless it already is? 50% is worry-sum for me. But I have seen some maps do good at 35% so I could be totally wrong.

How long until this map will be near finished? If you don't have a set time yet, that's fine. I'm just super interested in your map and legit can't wait to use it tbh xD

Whew, glad my teleporter comes with ways to get animals back from under the map, something mocved :) I hadn't noticed the big crack in the mountains; was the map expanded in that direction? It's all pretty wierd terrain and the map is plenty big if you ever come back and think about tidying up & declaring it done.

@GrumpyChair - Just because he is home and on his games doesn't mean he HAS to work on the map. It's his project and when he has time that doesn't cut into his mental and physical health time for himself, I am sure he will continue. Mind your own business and be glad he even started this map to begin with!

@GrumpyChair its not necessarily dead, its just I no longer have time to work on it like I did. Map making requires a lot more time than I've been able to commit to it sadly and I hope to return to it once I'm able to again. For now I'm sad to say, I do not know when my carefree days of playing Ark 24/7 will return, adult responsibilities come first.

So, tried this map out.
Bit of an issue: When I loaded up the Outer Realms map, it loaded my character from The Island default map. Which I didn't realize, so I chose, "Create New Survivor," and made a new character for Outer Realms.
When I loaded The Island again, the character I created for THIS map loaded into my previously saved game on The Island. So, suddenly there were two survivors coexisting in the same solo map. One was active because obviously I was playing and it's a solo game. The other was not dead, it was, "Sleeping."
I think it's not differentiating between this map and the default map. I'm still mid-trouble-shoot and trying to see if I can salvage my previous character from my original solo game on The Island. So far, I can only load the map as a second party and, "watch," the character I should be controlling, "sleep." LOL Argh. :P :D

I'm trying something with the .arktribe files, hopefully that works.

That's strange. I have never had black sky before until I tried those setting changes, absolutely nothing brought it back so I just deleted the engine and game inis.
But if that is not the case for you, then I can't really help.

Hu that would be weird, I dont have thise problem in multiplayer and i havent check other maps in singleplayer.
