Very nice addition to coastal areas!
MatteCosta 2. mar. 2021 kl. 6:00
This is great thank you!

You have these placed outside of water in the pics but when I try to do that if i move them out of the water by a little they turn red and when I use move it to try to do the same thing it messes up the terrain, just that I'd let you know.
Ethan721AU 11. jan. 2019 kl. 16:29
Ok, thanks!
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2019 kl. 10:45
@Ethan721AU Not sure what 2.20 did but this asset is terrain conforming so if you place it no a steep hill it will get a bit distorted no matter what you do. He might have faked the effect some other way.
Ethan721AU 3. jan. 2019 kl. 4:03
I tried using these rocks on a breakwall but it seems that the texture somewhat “stretches” when placed on a steep slope.

I.e, I built a breakwall using the Page up trick with a tiny road, creating a very steep slope to the bottom of the ocean. When placing the breakwater rocks on the edge of the breakwall, they kind of stretch and distort.

I've watched a YouTube video of Two Dollars Twenty using these assets but it seems they do no stretch when he is using them.

Any idea why I am experiencing that? Thanks!
Sanctum Gamer 20. juni 2018 kl. 14:50
Aah, cool. Didn’t notice that.
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2018 kl. 9:16
@sanctum_gamer I probably won't create a longer version of this asset. That being said, this is a "building", not a prop, so you have some wiggle room there.
Sanctum Gamer 15. juni 2018 kl. 2:17
@Strictoaster, these are awesome. However, in light of the dreaded prop limit, have you considered making larger (longer) versions of these so that more ground can be covered with a single one?
AngryDragon 1. feb. 2018 kl. 16:16
This stuff also function really well as a riprap simulator which you will often find around bridge pillars to prevent erosion. I do wish we had a slightly bigger version available.
Mæthos 13. aug. 2017 kl. 3:20
Ah, ok. So it was the wrong Anarchy then :D
I watched your Seenu videos (really great series btw) and there you have Prop & Tree Anarchy activated all the time, that's why I thought that this should do the trick.
Thank you for your time!
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 12. aug. 2017 kl. 19:56
@Methos sorry, I miss read your previous comment. Prop and Tree Anarchy won't affect this asset, but "Fine Road Anarchy" should. Pres CTRL+A and it should allow you to plop it wherever you want.
Mæthos 12. aug. 2017 kl. 2:34
@Strictoaster Yes, like I wrote. I can place them under water and then move them out of it with Move It!, but I can't place them outside of the water. Even with Prop & Tree Anarchy activated they still demand to be placed under water. I tested that both ingame and in map editor.
Or what do you mean? Is there an option in the Move It! mod that needs to be (de-)activated or something like that?
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2017 kl. 19:00
@Mehtos have you tried "MoveIt"?
Mæthos 10. aug. 2017 kl. 11:31
I have a problem with these. Even with Prop & Tree Anarchy activated I'm not able to place them outside of the water. I can place them under water and then pull them out with Move It! though, but I can't place them like Strictoaster does in his Seenu videos.
Any idea which mod might interact here and cause these problems?
LennyHallqvist 24. maj 2017 kl. 6:58
@Strictoaster Thank you so much Sir!
dpinna 23. maj 2017 kl. 18:22
@Strictoaster Thanks for the answer! English is not my native language, but you answered exactly what I asked for. I've heard a lot about the using of RAM, as if no memory would be enough. Your answer is very important because your work is huge and fantastic. I could not imagine a better person to tell us about it. Thank you and congratulations for your work, it is inspiring and charming! Greetings from Brazil!:steamhappy:
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2017 kl. 10:38
@LennyHallqvist I have very little time in my schedule so I tend to focus on my series as that is what most of my audience wants to see. I know that a "short video" sounds like something I can quickly put together but the shorter the video, the longer it takes to produce. That being said, I do have a "mods only" collection: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=687770388

@dpinna I don't understand exactly what you are asking but every custom asset (not mods) will take a certain amount of RAM, some more than others. Try the "LoadingScreenMod" and it will show you how much RAM your current assets take. If you are planning on getting a lot of custom assets I'd recommend getting at least 16GB of RAM.
LennyHallqvist 23. maj 2017 kl. 4:58
Dear Strictoaster,
I'm watching your videos for quite some time now and I realy have to say that I'm very impressed, because you put so much effort in building beautiful virtual cities and also in making very entertaining videos. So I really appreciate your work and like to thank you a lot.
Anyways, you not only use a lot of mods you share in your collections - you also use a lot of "technical" mods to build streets easier and have a better UI. And a lot of people - like me - dont know these mods and so I see a lot of people asking for them and it would be really great if you explain them maybe in a short video or if you make a collection for them here on steam.
Thank you so much and best regards from Germany (sorry for my English)

awesome work. they also work well on my newly started mediterranean city project
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2017 kl. 12:35
@TechiCat it should be in the Parks menu, right next to the vanilla rocks. That being said, I recommend you get the FindIt mod :)
TechiCat 25. apr. 2017 kl. 11:50
It says it's a "building". Where do I find them?
Captain Tinrib 25. apr. 2017 kl. 5:27

@TPB thanks!
agusingnavy 24. apr. 2017 kl. 8:19
Your fast man. The one and only @TPB. (sorry for the spam)
Katalepsis 24. apr. 2017 kl. 8:09
I just released a Building Anarchy mod, for those who want to place these differently. Nice asset Strict :D
agusingnavy 23. apr. 2017 kl. 18:29
@Strictoaster & @Mr.Miyagi, with all due respect, but @Elias is right.

Guide by @TPB since April 2015 http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=429744078

Just edit the .crp file with a Hex Editor [mh-nexus.de]. Open the HxD, press the search tab, type m_placementMode and replace 02 'on water' with 04 'OnSurface' (no need to sub to ModTools and load your asset)

Save the file with the HxD (it will also create a .bak file), launch CS, go to conter manager, search your asset, press update, press the tiny folder at the bottom right of the preview, put the files in the content foder, press update, done. It's easy .Took me 10" (sec) to edit the files. Great assets btw. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=912181688

Thanks Strictoaster. Very much appreciated. :)
Elias 23. apr. 2017 kl. 11:33
@ MrMiyagi @ Strictoaster

i know, i know. i was more concerned about players, who are "afraid" of using mods... i think there are more out there than we might think. and yes, updating assets is really annoying.

anyway, thanx for the asset. and i agree with Berrante that another version without any gaps would be awesome in addition.
Strictoaster  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2017 kl. 11:11
@Elias it's a pain in the ass to update these, way more than using Prop and Tree Anarchy to place them :P Thanks though
MrMiyagi 23. apr. 2017 kl. 8:00
Elias if you use Prop and Tree anarchy from BloodyPenguin, you can do that and not have to use Move It each time, and it's also a very useful mod for all sorts of decorating where normally you can't.
Elias 23. apr. 2017 kl. 6:34
with the help of "modtools" you can change the placement method with a few clicks, so you can place them on ground AND in water. if you like i can upload this improved version on googledrive and you could download and update this asset (or i could explain how you do it for future assets). using moveit to place a lot of those gets a bit annoying.
Deeheks 23. apr. 2017 kl. 5:36
I'll make good use of them, I promess =)
DeaNoMeaN 23. apr. 2017 kl. 3:16
Watched your video when you mentioned these. Very nicely done.
Thanks a bunch Toaster.
MrMiyagi 22. apr. 2017 kl. 16:18
Happy to have these, was looking forward to them since I saw them the other day on your video series. Thanks!
ale_donkey 22. apr. 2017 kl. 14:43
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Berrante 22. apr. 2017 kl. 12:48
Stric! 1st of all congratulations, good job. This is a further suggestion. A cluster without gaps among them would be awesome too.
OneJasonBradly 22. apr. 2017 kl. 8:42
Oh, I love me my rocks as much as you love (more) trees. Thank you Strict. for adding/sharing to my rock collection.
Forster 22. apr. 2017 kl. 3:58

sweet! I got tired of the standard rocks collection in the prop section. This is very unique!
