Gooood shit. Points for ye.
Really hated having Crossbowman in the modern and atomic era because I did NOT want to lose range on 'em. Also hated having to mass-smash artillery just to have some range.

Perhaps more realistically be only one or two soldiers in a hex, Sniper are "Lone Wolves".

A great unit, I love the late game ranged attack. Unfortunately I have the same problem as Abraman, every unit has this annoying "promotion" box at the bottom that gets in the way of worker/settler functions. It's definitly this mod as it is the only one I have installed at the moment, not sure if its because of g&k or because im on mac...

I don't know where that Infiltration promotion is coming from, but it's not this mod. And I doubt the settler bug has to do with this specifically, if only because in that case I would have heard about it more by now.
I wouldn't know about compatibility in general. This is an old mod which I haven't touched for a long time.

I have a bug to report:
Whenever I start a new game with this mod active, my settler, instead of having an option to found city, says "Hurry Production" (which will found a city if you click on it). Also, all of my units start with two promotions available called "Infiltration 50" and "Infiltration 100" or something like that (even settlers get it)
Does this mod conflict with any other mods?

I got an idea: Machine gun is ranged for generallly all targets. Snipers are specialized for anti-infantry, and mortars are specialized for city bombardment.

I like this mod. Get lucky with a scout on a goody hut, and you have a free-moving assasin or geurilla fighter. :D

Whats still the sense off this mod? G&K allready have allready more Range Infantry.
Why you not make a Range Infantry for the Modern Age? A Rocket Launcher Unit maybe.

I think I'll like this. If there's one thing that irks me about Gatling and Machine guns, it's the range loss.

josh-lop: It would be possible to use the same invisibility submarines get, but that would be overpowered.
