I'm sorry you had problems, but I don't see how it could have been because of my mod. You're the first person that has mentioned having problems with it. The game hasn't been updated, and I haven't updated the mod in forever. I've never had a problem with it.

Was it a particular activity you were doing when it crashed? Also if you're willing to experiment, try the mod again, or any of my other clothing mods. They basically all function in the same way.

What is more likely to have happened is that you were having a game issue that was resolved by shutting the game down to disable the mod. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Tried out this mod, it seems to cause frequent freezing for some reason. I unsubscribed this mod (only had this one) and the freezing stopped instantly. With mod active it would freeze about every 30 to 45 minutes, without it i played a solid 3 or 4 hours with no difficulty.
Sorry to say but theres some kind of severe bug in your mod. Its interesting i admit but am unable to use due to the freezing glitch it gives me.

@NinjaSandwich I just checked and it's still working. Make sure you clicked "subscribe" then launch the game.

It doesn't work. Hats still change the hair and there are no new hats at any of the shops.

That's why I said "There will be clipping issues with certain hairstyles so you'll have to play around and see which ones look best." There is no way to change that because of how the game is made. The game originally flags the items to hide hair because of the hair poking out. I turned that off because a few hairstyles look ok with some specific hats.

Furious V and Rogue helmet are DLC items, and they currently don't work on the workshop. I tried the warrior princess helmet though. Warrior princess looks awful with hair clipping on every hairstyle. I imagine the other two would look bad too.

The only hats that look good are wide brimmed/tall hats and even then they only work on a few hairstyles. This mod is mostly masks that are close to the skin that hide underneath some of the taller hair.

Hey can you do this with rogue helmet. I want to see if i could make a predator outfit with the dred-lock hair style.

Well, crap. I just checked Let's Pretend, and found out that it's part of the SPD officer suit. You can't wear the hat on its own. So I guess that's pretty much off the table.

I'm not sure which hat you're talking about. Do you know the name? Also keep in mind if the hat is close to the scalp that hair will clip through and it won't look good. It's why I've only got 2 hats so far in this mod.

Are you planning on adding the police cap from Let's Pretend at any point?

Well I tried making the 6 masks as facewear items instead of headwear, but for some reason when you change certain hats to facewear they start having clipping issues that they don't have as hats. Specifically the idle animation eyebrow raise clips through Killbane and Safeword Special's forehead. I tried obscuring different "vids" to try to hide the clipping but none of them worked so I decided to not change them.

You could try Admixon's mod and see if it does what you want (I haven't tried it):

I did update the mod today to let certain masks show lipstick though.

Aronia , I have a few suggestions for a clothing similar to this mod for you:

1. Can make a versions of default hats that can be wearied together with hoodies up clothes?
2. Can you make also version of the masks that can be wearied together with hats and hoodies up clothes?

@Rancho Relaxer I've hit a snag in trying to get the gas mask working. The cloning tool breaks when cloning that specific item. I was going to just edit the customization_items.xtbl and put that on the workshop but that also doesn't work at the moment. I haven't given up on it but it might be awhile before either of those issues are fixed.

It does work if you edit customization_items.xtbl and put it in your main SR4 folder though. I'd be happy to explain how to do that if you'd like. Editing tables is really pretty easy in this game.

Oh. I have no idea. I've played 4~ hours of SR2. I haven't tried modding it myself. I guess you could try requesting it in the Saints Row 2 Mod Request section of saintsrowmods.com

SR2 clothes are incompatible with SR3/4.

What about sr2 hats with hair. i rly want to wear a beanie with the tribal bob. idk if u know how to mod it but its free right now.

Thanks a bunch! This seemed kind of obvious to me in SR3, I always wondered why they didn't just put it in the same category as the bandana from the SR2 Legacy content.

To be clear, I test things by editing customization_items.xtbl that I have in my Saints Row Inauguration Station folder. When I add things to the mod I clone them so people can choose which items they want to use. Easy way to test things before committing more effort to it hehe.

Just tried it and it looks pretty good. Great idea. I'll try to do it tomorrow. :)

could you release an update that adds the fumigator to facial wear? that way anyone can wear a hat with it.

I just checked them. The only hairstyles that don't clip through the hoodies with the hoods up are the extremely short ones: Chiseled Fro, Clean Cut, Monk, Sarge, Short Hawk.

The hoodies with the hoods down only obscure the long hairstyles and all of them look pretty terrible clipping through the front and back in my opinion.

I can't really see a point in doing it. Maybe Admixon or someone else wants to do it? Or we could explain how to edit customization_items.xtbl over on saintsrowmods.com if you want to try it yourself.

If you mean the Apocalyptic Goggles yeah I can give that a try. If I get it working I'll have to put it in a different mod that is flagged for DLC items though.
