There was a plains tile next to a forest tile and the plains tile had a random tree in the middle of it annnnnnnnnd im like wait what?!!?!?!!?!??!? wait a minute do trees grow? lol so when i googled tree growth i found some thred talking about this mod and im like heeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll yeeeeeesssssssss this mod is for me !

It is for Gods and Kings and is thus incompatible with Brave New World. I too would like to see this updated, but I think the author has abandoned the project.

sure this works with G&K, or that there isn't any incompatibilities with other mods, for I haven't seen a single tile "grow" trees in quite some time.

I had to wait to get all the Civ addons, now that I finally have them, working on the mods will be easier.

No promise yet, but I will consider updating this mod once I've bought all the DLC's that I'm missing. I understand this was like a missing core feature, unlike a civilization itself, therefore around of after X-mas, if I can do it, I will.

@Murdoc. That exists already, and is called Reforestation. I'd much prefer this mod though, but alas it doesn't work anymore.

Small request if at all possible, can you maybe make it an option to change the rate at which forests regrow? I love the mod and all, but I'm getting sick of playing Marathon on a huge map and only 200 turns in I can't find a single non desert tile without a forest.
If at all possible maybe make in compatible with this mod?

Update on the regrowth on wheat crash. I had several workers on autobuild. I spotted one worker unit that was moving to specifically upgrade that wheat patch right before the regrowth happened. This may be a factor.

I love the regrowth. Found a crash bug. I whitnessed my game crash when the regrowth occurs on wheat fields.

Hehe, I had a map of the world, started on the east coast of North America. By the time I got to the rockies the entire continent was covered in forests.

Thank you! I was really missing this feature of IV! Any chance workers might be able to plant forests eventually? As for ideas, maybe forests could also spawn on open grassland adjacent to rivers as well as on tiles adjacent to forests? Thanks!

I changed the info, even though it was already like this: Forests will only grow next to another forest. So, no forest can grow in the middle of nowhere.
