The name of this plant is Bougainvilla. Tropical plant usually seen in South and South East Asia

no problem... we all get profit from your time a lot... so i am glad to give something in refund ;)
Elias 20 apr. 2017 la 18:19
the reason why the pearls from the east dlc was needed is, that when you created the asset for the first time, you must have used a template from a tree from pearls from the east.

@Elias thanks so much for your times

edit:

2. load the asset in content manager and make the changes with modtools... etc

the required changes are in this case clicking the "unset"-button, so the requirement is set to "0"
Elias 20 apr. 2017 la 18:12
i think it is not necessary that it has the same name... but to not confuse other players, it is recommended that you have used the exact same name as it was called before... and if you like to confuse players, you could also replace the crp-file with something completely different like a giant dildo-prop... but that would be mean of course...

[optional there is also a small folder-button where you can place a different preview-picture. it needs to be a png with 644x360 pixels called previewimage.png]

i hope that this was right and helpful (haven't done it myself in a while and i know that it is a pain in the ass when you update something here for the first time)

1. subscribe to this asset (and i recommend deleting this asset from your local hard disc, so you won't have it twice probably named the same...
In windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets)

2. load the asset in content manager and make the changes with modtools... this mod can be found in the workshop and you open it with ctrl+e (The path is: Tool Manager - Tool Controller - Prefab Info - SteamHelper + DLC_Bitmask m_dlc required = Oriental Buildings)

3. save the asset now

4. now exit the game and cut the crp-file out of the folder (C:\Users\username\...) and save it somewhere on your computer. stay still subscribed to the workshop asset... otherwise you won't be able to update the asset)

5. now go back into the game and open the content manager. there you will find your asset which will have a small update-button. click on update and replace the "bad" crp-file with the "good" one that you have saved on your computer

added that dcl for now

@Elias I have tried to fix this. it wont even let me reupload it. If you can tell me how to fix it that would be very helpful
Elias 20 apr. 2017 la 17:13
@ Pres @ pdelmo

found the reason: this asset requires the "pearls from the east" expansion. with the help of modtools i was able to unset that and now it works for me.
Elias 20 apr. 2017 la 16:58
i seem to have the same issue as pres: on the one hand it appears in the content manager, i can load it, change hight and rename it whatsoever... but it will neither show up in the game nor can i place it on other assets (houses etc) in the content manager, because it simply won't appear like other "trees". very weird.
pdelmo  [autor] 16 apr. 2017 la 13:53
Not sure Pres. I just subed to it and it works. I know it works for others as I have seen people use it
Pres 16 apr. 2017 la 7:33
I can't enable this in content manager.

@ KADIEusa I looked and searched the net for the name of this bush, but could not find it. They are everwhere in my local area. Thanks for the heads up
KADIEusa 1 apr. 2017 la 20:41
That's a Crepe Myrtle! You did an excellent job and it looks beautiful in game. :)

@Slick thanks mate
Slick Gamble 31 mart. 2017 la 9:51
Looks great and on scale to me.
pdelmo  [autor] 30 mart. 2017 la 15:37
Just uploaded a pic showing scale. To me this is scale to objects in the game. I put it in my title to other assets I made that are big scale. These assets are land fillers not for in the city. @Sparks It should work I subscribed to it and works fine.
pdelmo  [autor] 30 mart. 2017 la 15:15
I did make. Most of these assets for bush land so bigger scale is better. I will keep it in mind tho. am woking on hedges. They will be of scale
Sparks 30 mart. 2017 la 14:50
I scal my assets to the vanilla table set prop.
Also I can't enable this prop?
pdelmo  [autor] 30 mart. 2017 la 6:27
And secondly this bush is in real life taller than a house. if i scale the leaves down you often endup with to many polygons. Like i said i scale my stuff to other trees on the workshop
pdelmo  [autor] 30 mart. 2017 la 6:23
I scale thinks to other assets look at the buildings and other trees they are all big scale. its the people that are to small
Cleveland 30 mart. 2017 la 5:48
I like your work but the scale is often totally out of whack, like in this one. This is gigantic compared to cars/people.
