壁纸看起来应该会很完美,但是我的运行起来是白屏状态,貌似不少人都是这个情况,是CPU不支持么,我的是A卡,必须要N卡么?
Justin Sider 6. okt. 2017 kl. 8:22
Beautiful background with lots of customization, only issue is the white screen which is fixed by changing the sky colours slightly.
Blue Eternal 25. sep. 2017 kl. 6:06
DT2K16, thanks a lot.
Hexioum 17. sep. 2017 kl. 13:16
Thanks Batman, it works.
DTK 3. sep. 2017 kl. 17:48
OK GUYS I KNOW HOW TO FIX THE WHITENESS

go to the sky option, and go to each color possibility - then click right where the dot is on the color selection thing - when they're all done, the real thing will begin to show. I think there was just some bug with how the wallpaper starts up and loads the colors.
Emrys 18. aug. 2017 kl. 10:14
Doesn't work, screen is just white
Ningus Khan 24. juli 2017 kl. 10:38
Ive used it before just fine however now im having the same issue as Big Smoke where the screen is just white or it is only raining, nothing else is visable
Kermint 20. juli 2017 kl. 15:28
Doesn't seem work for me, either its just raining or there is just a white screen. I tried unsubbing and resubbing changed nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is it just bugged? I would love for it to work because it looks really cool so I hope I can get it fixed somehow, still recomend it because everyone else seems to do and I love the idea!:steamhappy:

Marshmallow 8. juni 2017 kl. 13:53
I love this wallpaper, unfortunately im experiencing quite a few bugs with it. i'm running dual monitors and everytime i boot up something like overwatch the background just goes to a white screen. even after restarting wallpaper engine. I have to restart my computer to get it to work right. and after exiting chrome(fullscreen) it resets the tim cycles and number of bars back to default.

One of the best wallpapers out there, no doubt. Minimal, elegant and easily costomizable - I would buy it instantly if it wasn't free :)
Though, I wish there were some other objects to play around with like trees, clouds or snow ot top of the mountains (which can be a visualizer at the same time). But it's all up to the author.
Right now, it's simply amazing. 10/10, this is how great wallpapers should be like.
sovereign 30. maj 2017 kl. 5:26
Best visualizer no doubt
Solidev 29. maj 2017 kl. 12:49
It will stay like that for permanently unforchantly.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 28. maj 2017 kl. 19:32
I'm pretty sure that that is a bug with Wallpaper Engine falsely reporting a very faint sound. Because the app normalizes the audio, it will still show up, even if the sound is very quiet. However, it should automatically hide after a certain threshold, a few seconds after the real input stops -- at least, it has in all of my testing. How long will the visualizer stay like that after the music stops?
Solidev 28. maj 2017 kl. 16:53
Beautiful wallpaper. Easily one of the best avalible. However i have an issue where the audio will not come to a rest when nothing is playing. The music stop and everything levels out but after a half seccond delay the visualizer moves back to this defult state ( https://gyazo.com/1192f465fc23ce9cf280965e79e2d978 ) and i cannot figure out why.

AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2017 kl. 16:49
Thanks for the feedback A Little Hoarse! I've looked into the problem, found a solution, and have pushed out an update. Everything should work once Steam and WPE download the update.
Asphodel 5. maj 2017 kl. 18:05
This looks so good with my setup, visualizer works really well, but for some reason if the output stops for even a second, the visualizer stops working and doesn't start up again until I disable and re-enable the wallpaper... I have it locked on night and rain turned off if that helps
GummyStuff 3. maj 2017 kl. 21:32
Great wallpaper! Absolutely love!
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2017 kl. 16:37
Real Time is a setting that locks the time to a 24 hour model. However, since lighting isn't the same everywhere, you need to calibrate it a little bit. Thats what the Day/Night duration option is for. It changes how much time is spent in the day versus the night and sunrise. Fiddle around with the options until it lines up well with your time.
dANii 24. apr. 2017 kl. 3:26
How does Real Time work? What does Day/Night duration do? I want the wallpaper to be light during daytime / dark during night.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 15. apr. 2017 kl. 7:44
A new update has just been released that should dramatically improve performance and decrease cpu and gpu usage, making the wallpaper MUCH friendlier to lighter computers. If you've been shying away from using the cpu-heavier features of this wallpaper, give it a try now. It should be much, much better.
tomba 9. apr. 2017 kl. 12:50
Just got the update - CPU and GPU usage is down to 1% max whilst time locked and temps back down to 30 degrees - thanks :)
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. 2017 kl. 6:10
I'm very glad you like it, and honored that you would want to donate, but I don't really need / want donations right now. I would much rather you donate to a charity, if you want to do something for me.
tomdeaardappel 9. apr. 2017 kl. 4:36
Woa man, looks awesome, great work, keep it up, proud of you.

But do you even make money out of this? Or is there somewhere where we can donate?
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2017 kl. 21:35
Okay, I've finished up the sunset problem by adding an option that controls the balance of day and night. Right now, it can be hard to find the right setting, but I'm planning to add a tool that will make it signifigantly easier. However, Wallpaper Engine has a fatal error when running it, so I'm going to hold off on release for now. However, this update also addresses Tom's problem with CPU usage while time is locked. Hopefully, there will be more optimizations in the future.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2017 kl. 18:58
I've added in an optimization that does pretty much this. It should radically improve performance when a) it isn't raining, b) the time is locked, and c) audio isn't playing. I haven't released it yet, but it should come out soon, as well as the sunset improvements Cosmetify sugguested. Thank you very much for the feedback. I hope this stops your graphics card from melting.
tomba 8. apr. 2017 kl. 4:28
Tsa6: Maxed out GTA5 doesn't even push my gpu to 80 degrees. I'm currently using a screenshot of the background until it is optimized. Maybe you could reduce the framerate of the wallpaper to like 1fps until it detects audio input and then put it to however many fps to reduce CPU/GPU usage?
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 5. apr. 2017 kl. 14:35
Scooter Kid: Thank you very much for posting your solution. I'm still trying to get to the bottom of the bug, (having problems replicating it), but I'm glad to hear that we have a way to deal with the problem.

Cosmetify & Everyone intrested in the realtime/sunset bug: I know this update is taking slightly longer than normal to come out. I'm currently trying to implement some sort of map to the time, but I don't have much experience simulating sunsets, epecially in realtime, so I'm still exploring and tweaking. Hopefully it'll be out soon.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 5. apr. 2017 kl. 14:35
Tom: Time lock doesn't stop the background for running, because the app still needs to render the visualizer, which involves re-drawing the background. I suppose you could turn the visualizer off, but then you might as well use a static wallpaper. I'm always trying to optimize more, but it will never run perfectly smoothly, simply because of how Wallpaper Engine handles some stuff in the background. Luckily, it won't interfere with any of your games, because the WPE pauses in the background. As for your temps, I can't say I'm not slightly concerned. Even running very intensive wallpapers, you shouldn't ever hit 80. If you frequently hit 80 degrees, I would recomend checking up with your hardware. I try to keep my PC below 60 degrees, higher temps can do lasting damage, especially sustained.
brain 4. apr. 2017 kl. 16:19
If you are only seeing a while screen, reset the properties.
tomba 4. apr. 2017 kl. 14:13
Why does this use 55% of a GTX 980ti and put it up to 80 degrees temp? even when time is locked?
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2017 kl. 14:00
Cosmetify: I'll look into this. I think I can fix it by adding a few more options to the sunset and sky customization. I was a little light on options when I first implemented realtime, but I see now that that didn't help much. I'll try and get those in soon.

Nigh7Rav3n: You're the second person I've heard of whose had this problem, and I'm having some trouble figuring out the cause. If it's alright with you, I'd love to get in contact to see if we can figure it out.
Hentai Senpai 3. apr. 2017 kl. 11:46
Stuck with a white screen only :/ Any suggestions on how to get it working?
Cerulean 2. apr. 2017 kl. 21:19
The sunset/sunrise isn't quite working correctly for me... See the screen shot here: https://i.imgur.com/7cFt2aD.png

(I also pointed out a small text error as well)

Other than that, this is amazing <3
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2017 kl. 17:46
So, I looked into it, and the biggest problem I encountered was letting users enter their location. Developers are only allowed a few types of input options: slider, dropdown, checkbox, and image. There are no options for location or text. The other thing I tried was enabling geo-location in the wallpaper. If you've ever had a website ask you for your location, that's geo-location. Unfortunately, Wallpaper Engine doesn't currently support geo-location, so that's out of the picture. Until there's a way to get the user's location, it doesn't look like there's a way to do this.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2017 kl. 11:37
I'll let you know by tonight (EST) if I can get it to work.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2017 kl. 11:36
I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to automatically sync up sunset and weather patterns, but you can lookup and enter your local sunset times to sunc that up manually. Ill look into doing it automatically, but it'll require an external API, so no garentee that it'll get in.
J 28. mar. 2017 kl. 6:58
First of all: I love your work! Your wallpaper is amazing. I also have two questions:
Would it be possible to give a location in the settings and have the wallpaper get sunrise and sundown times automatically? Could it rain when it rains IRL at my location? Those features would make the wallpaper absolutely perfect for me!
Buckshot 21. mar. 2017 kl. 16:07
OHH! Works perfectly! Thank you for the extremely quick update. Literally.
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2017 kl. 15:45
Buckshot: I added in a "Time Lock" option under the Misc tab. Thanks for the sugguestion!

Buckshot 20. mar. 2017 kl. 18:41
Unless I'm missing something, is there a way to turn off the day/night cycle? I would like to leave it on "night" or a darker setting. The daytime colors can get a bit bright. I see the "Time Scale" setting, but I was hoping for a straight toggle, if possible.
[BA] mpolder 20. mar. 2017 kl. 14:37
Cool, Thanks so much!
AlchEmi  [ophavsmand] 20. mar. 2017 kl. 14:30
That was actually the original plan. However, I ultimately decided against it, mostly for the fact that it would take more computation time and a lot of work, with very little to show for it, since in many instances the difference would be covered up by the noise anyway. It's a good idea, but probably not one I'll be implementing. Nevertheless, thank you very much for the feedback. Also, the other update which adds options for visualizer height (and smoothness, which might help your peacefull background theme) is out.
