doesnt the pp19 bizon fire pistol bullets though? ^^ obviously its not an ak-smg thats why i said "ak style" smg since it has alot of visual similarities, both 9x19mm (standard nato pistol caliber) and 9x18 makarov (russian pistol caliber) are pistol calibers and thus it is a russian made smg


if it isnt an smg, what would you call it? its certainly not a full size assault rifle (defined as intermediate cartridge between full size rifle round and pistol round)

I saw somebody said the AK74 is an SMG. Incorrect; there is no SMG variant of the AK47. Even the PP19 Bizon. The 74 is a slightly smaller caliber version with a less curved double stack mag and a muzzle break on the end. The AKS-74u is what you were thinking of, but it's just a shorter, more lightweight variant of the AK74. One should know if any firearm is an SMG or not by looking at the cartridge it's designed for. If something looks like a mini assualt rifle with these tiny-ass pistol bullets, it's most likely an SMG. Any more questions about firearms?

actually the AK-74 could be classed as an assault rifle as well given that the cartridge isnt that much different in size from the 5.56 round (5.45x39 vs 5.56x45) and smgs usually are pistol cartridges (which the 5.45 round certainly is not)
the ak47 simply has a really big cartridge (7.62x39) in comparison to say the m4 so the slimmed down version is still an ar even if smaller than the original one


there are akstyle smgs though, the pp-19 Bison for example, which is chambered in 9x18 makarov or 9x19 parabellum for export

The AK-74 is an smg and an AK-47 is an assault rifle ok. But I like it you should try and make an AK-47 version because it's a fan favorite and powerful rifle in CSGO and possibly other games.
