Because the song is longer than the original one. If you won't do that, at the point when the original tank theme ends, you will hear a ton of screetching sounds. I didn't want to cut the song because I want the whole song to be heard, the flesh and bones of it are at the end.

I've seen many sound mods that doesn't rely on GCFScape or rebuilding the audio cache to work. How come you cannot do that?
