The most underrated of the hero characters in Red Alert.

Always annoyed me that EA made her the slowest and arguably the weakest, but then I realized each hero has her own strengths and weaknesses to balance it out.

Since Tanya is an anti-infantry hero, she is not as vulnerable to scouts, unlike Yuriko and Natasha since she has the highest rate of fire. Depending on how many there are, a few of them might get lucky.

But when trying to pit her against Natasha or Yuriko, the ideal strategy is to use your scouts as cannon fodder and force Yuriko to use her special ability to make it cool down. During this process, she will be vulnerable and can only attack one unit at a time, leaving her open to attack.

Against Boris, I'm not sure what the best strategy is. Tanya simply can't compete with him in terms of raw skill. He's too heavily armored but likely vulnerable against air units.

Great mod.

For the suggestion box: get her to say her line "Untouchable!" if she has untouchable and it triggers.

These are all the voicelines in the entire C&C Red Alert 2 and Yuri's revenge combined mate, I would have to add stuff from Red Alert 3 if i was to get more lines, and that I do NOT want (because that was a crap actress).

The actress for RA3's Tanya is better known for blaming life saving vaccines for autism than any actual career choices. Glad you chose not to make the same mistake EA did by replacing Kari Samantha Wuhrer.

but yep :D you cant beat the original discs of a game ^.^..
sure it was a little untidy with games being installed all over your harddrive...

I found them by installing the game from CD (yes, I have the originals), and exploring the .mix files with a program called XCC Mix Editor. Basically it's like browsing a huge archive of all the audiofiles in the game (s). One for Red Alert 2, and another .mix file for Yuri's Revenge.

May I ask how you found the audio.

I'm trying to make a Yuriko Omega voice pack and I can't find the files online.

Mkay, the reason I wanted that was that otherwise it puts a serious limit on what you can name them without suspending disbelief though. Nothing major, just a bit of a pet peeve. I did the whole name them after famous people spiel a while as well, but I got fed up with it since they didn't feel as genuine as my own creations.

Noone mind controls Tanya is a very specific line though, I get why you would keep that one. Haven't had mind control happen all that often in my games anyways.

Yepo, all voicelines have a "telephone" filter added to it for the radio effect you're talking about.

There are two voicelines with her name in it. "Noone mind controls Tanya" and "Have no fear, Tanya's here". I chose to not edit those, as I only use this voicepack on a character called Tanya Adams anyway :)

Always funny when the odd rebel gets her voice tho :D

Looking forward to the preview, hope it has radio filter on and any references to her name removed as well.
