Yes, I think I saw one, too. I had made similar "flying bases" for earlier Alphas, so this was just a fun little project using your dome. With the dome shape, it seems like you end up with a lot of space for not a lot of materials.

Burrbrusk, I created a CV based on the dome portion of your Dome of the Colony blueprint. I copied just the basic outside shape of the dome. I thought I would ask if you have any objection to my total rip off of your awesome dome design before posting that to the workshop.

I've spawned 2 of these bases because I was impressed by the practical layout of the equipment. The only change I made was to place a Food Processor near the Constructors and that is because I prefer to keep food there instead of fridges.

However 1 warning for anyone considering using this BP. The footprint is fairly large and it has to be placed on flat land. That can be a problem, because if it isn't flat, you will loose a sizeable portion of the building when it cracks and falls down. Because of it's design, it can be time consuming trying to repair. Or do as I have had to do and destroy and rebuild from scratch. Otherwise, this is my fav base.

This is actually my favorite of world quick base. Good stuff.

@Burrbrusk: with all the resource changes, it's still a smart setup, not hard to gather resources for, and while I've moved to mobile CV bases, I'm dropping this bad boy. Well done!

the base i turned it into takes almost 10 hours to build now but thats not going to be a big issue for me on one of the 2 servers just need to access the admin cmmand to spawn the blueprint and place it

ahh well i just built up the base for a server that im an admin for as well as a starwars server ad both allow more then the normal ammount of turrets so i went a head and added the missing plots and made a few changes to where i could grow corn and weat as well not to mention upgraded the steel blocks to combat and the concrete to armored and made a storage room off one of the hangers that has a pad directly above witha ramp extending down to one of the other 3 hanger doors took me 10 hours to get it all done but was well worth the effort atleast i dint have to add sensors just needed to add 3 switches for 2 shutter dors 1 for lights and 1 for 2 furnaces in the storage room i built off the red hanger port other then thoat not much was changed but might add some crew blocks in eventually as far as engineering and guards go lol

Love this base! The layout is smart, easy to use/tweak/upgrade. Just dropped my 3rd one (I'm not a builder :-) on Oscutune. Added a P.U.P to help with the PV and just upgraded the constructors. Awesome build.

Hey Burrbrusk, nice design!! I love it man. I went and updated a few things on it and re-arranged a few things, but all in all I love the design. I even added some signal logic to the lights and a furnace room! with a smart switch so you don't fry yourself lol.

I have used this as the topper on someone else's Abandoned Mine blueprint, (with some changes) on several worlds across 2 servers. This is what I would expect to see in a human colony on an alien world. Excellent work

Outstanding design, built one of these as an upscale mining base on Aitis in experimental. If I had known how nice this one was ( I didnt spawn in creative, just made the bp and dropped it planetside in survival) I would have made this my primary base on start planet! lol Excellent design work, great job man.
