Must be a new issue with the signal update but the programming block randomly shuts off and stops running the script idk if its the smart solar rotor conflicting or the Ganymede Solar Array but yeah the panels dont seem to align and the script stops running
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2022 kl. 20:19
I didn't play the games for years.
Could you please upload some screenshots of a simple setup (maybe extra world) and tell me which blocks you used? I never played with hinges.:steamhappy:
Star_Kindler 15. nov. 2022 kl. 10:08
This script does not appear to work anymore, at least with hinges as part of the setup.
NexusLeader 24. maj 2022 kl. 18:53
i did, 0.05 seems to be working fine, don't go above it and your perfect, but go above it and it's too wobbly and won't stop at the right time
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2022 kl. 11:12
It depends a lot on your day legth. I playyed the game alway with very low rotor velocity.
I'm not sure how stable the game at the moment is in terms of wobble and explosions of rotors. give it a try.
NexusLeader 22. maj 2022 kl. 10:12
dude, i said where, but i already found it in settings anyways, can it be default 0.05? because it's very slow and people won't like that
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2022 kl. 9:44
ROTORVELOCITY is what you are looking for in the script :selike:
NexusLeader 21. maj 2022 kl. 17:56
WHERE DO I EDIT ROTOR VELOCITY!?!?
Skallabjorn 13. aug. 2021 kl. 13:33
Thanks
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2021 kl. 11:48
Yes, change the ROTORVELOCITY paramenter in the code.
There are more settings you can adjust, you can find it under "Optional settings" up here.
Skallabjorn 13. aug. 2021 kl. 10:54
Is there a way to change the speed the rotors align at ?

This is the mod that I'm trying to use with your script.
I have tried looking into it myself but with no avail. Normally your script puts its output into the PB display as a grid, value and a boolean value. Well with that mod it was constantly on 'false' and all values were 0.0' which made the array spin endlessly even after restarting the script and patiently waiting. I have fixed it temporarily by putting a vanilla solar panel on the array of mine.
There could also be a problem on my side, in a multiplayer session or the mod itself is the problem to which I care little, I'll just put down some vanilla solar panels, that's going to pose no problem.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 9. jan. 2021 kl. 16:25
It should work with other panels as long as they have a maxium output value set.
What's the mod you are using?
Wearo 9. jan. 2021 kl. 7:41
Does this script include other mods that add different solar panels or is it tailored specifically for vanilla solar panels? I'm having troubles setting this up with one of my mods that im using and it seems that it cannot recognize the 'foreign' panels as actual solar panels, resulting in my sollar array endlessly spinning in circles.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2020 kl. 10:24
The PB must be on the same grid as the first rotor. Please see the blueprints / pictures.
Solttu 5. maj 2020 kl. 7:55
Is it possible to have have multiple pb in grid? Mine says at the moment no panels created.
I have miner in the same grid
Ggggtt2 11. apr. 2020 kl. 19:20
I'm having an issue even finding the option to use steam workshop items in the PB. as in, there seems to be no button to add a script or even a workshop button, what do I need to do here?
mazrados 20. mar. 2020 kl. 8:43
I read somewhere that is related to rotors. If too heavy load it carries then wobbles.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 20. mar. 2020 kl. 6:32
The scipt can't do anything against the wobbeling. It's the game's physics - sadly.
mazrados 18. mar. 2020 kl. 16:02
Tried already. It works :)

BTW I think that T shape works with 2 pairs of panels. That is 8 panels symetrically.
When added more then wobbling began.

I use it for several small power stations on the beginning of survival or for something like small outpost.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2020 kl. 8:26
The script just checks for the output. Just try it.
mazrados 14. mar. 2020 kl. 13:16
Question about centered panels. It's modded but, I guess, it's technically the same as vanilla. Only looks different. Should this script work with such panels?
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 10. feb. 2020 kl. 11:18
If your panels are wobbling around, make sure you have enabled “share inertia” in the rotors.
If you build DON’T-panels: Good luck! ;)
KnightForEyes 9. feb. 2020 kl. 8:50
Uhm... My Station Starting to... Having a Stroke... Uhmm Is that supossed to happen?
I'm Using T-Panel
Deadline 28. okt. 2019 kl. 9:37
Great script Congratulations on your skills
Darian Stephens 5. sep. 2019 kl. 18:58
Oh. I accidentally detached the whole tower. It's working now.
Darian Stephens 5. sep. 2019 kl. 18:56
This is very odd. I installed this script to a moon base with a single-rotor solar array, and it was tracking the sun just fine.
Now, after a game restart, it won't. I try to recompile and run the script again, but it just says '0 Panels created.' and goes blank.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 4. sep. 2019 kl. 10:07
What's the output of the pb?
Usually you just need to compile and run.
Reigdaer 4. sep. 2019 kl. 7:24
im trying with one rotor, but is not aligning...

i have a botton panel with "init" "start" and "stop" but after init and start is not trying to face the sun...
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2019 kl. 15:33
For me it works. Just the self-trigger seems to bit a bit broken.
DrVegapunk 22. aug. 2019 kl. 17:11
"Assembly not found. Please compile scropt." T solar
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 22. aug. 2019 kl. 10:51
Please provide any issues you encounter with the latest patch (not only negative votes). ;(
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 30. juni 2019 kl. 2:22
<3 Thanks a lot! <3
Mkananoja 29. juni 2019 kl. 5:36
this script might be old, but out of all of other scripts with tons of (bloat)features, this one has been most server friendly and stable (no flying pieces to stratosphere). thank you a thousand for this <3
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2019 kl. 7:10
Updated the script to the changes in solar panels of the last update.
If there are any problems please report! :)
Korharan 30. mar. 2019 kl. 7:50
Confirm. 160kW and 40kW.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2019 kl. 3:04
Sadly, the wiki doesent tell the changed output numberss for solar panels.
Anyone can confirm the max possible output of 160/40 kW (large/small)?
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2019 kl. 2:53
@Tsarr
I can confirm there is something wrong with the maximum output of solar panels the script gets.
Until I upload a new version you can quickfix it by setting MINRELATIVEOUTPUT = 1.98f.
DeadpanGod3 27. mar. 2019 kl. 6:20
ahhh yup that fixed it, been a while since i used rotors, they rotate smoothly now :D
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2019 kl. 22:31
Share Inertia Tensor is important of course. Please use it! :)
Darian Stephens 26. mar. 2019 kl. 20:45
Have you turned on Share Inertia Tensor for all involved rotors? That always solves shaking for my arrays.
DeadpanGod3 26. mar. 2019 kl. 16:44
so, apon loading my world just now and trying the script again, the arrays have rotated towards the sun correctly and are now shaking violently, guessing thats the T arrays fault, but it seems to work now, maybe Keen broke scripts?
DeadpanGod3 26. mar. 2019 kl. 16:30
Doesn't seem to be working for me either, using a T solar on the moon, the base simply turns at a very slow rate with no regard to the sun, the top doesn't seem to move at all, tried with two separate arrays.
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2019 kl. 11:00
Could you please double-check that? I did not notice any problems.
If so, please upload a world! :)
Tsarr 18. mar. 2019 kl. 12:11
This script stopped working proberly after the overhaul :(
i am using U-Panels and the bottom rotor isnt tracking, and the horizontal rotors seems to only track half the time
Darian Stephens 19. okt. 2018 kl. 1:18
It's no longer as advisable to have multiple attachments between two grids, but make sure your rotor displacements aren't causing clang.
Saki 18. okt. 2018 kl. 23:12
Are the U-Panels still possible everytime i try a dual rotor setup they either explode or wont attach on one side
Darian Stephens 28. juni 2018 kl. 22:25
@bronney
...What gifs? I didn't see any of those images animate.
bronney 28. juni 2018 kl. 14:53
Dude those tutorial gifs up there wtf? Love it :DD
Xarniia  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. 2018 kl. 5:26
It only takes from solar panels. But if you build a oxfarm, just put one panel into.
