This is the best parking garage, very cool, and useful for big cities who having trouble finding parking spot and place a lot of these other parking garages than only placed one :steamthumbsup:

This asset isn't showing up for me. I've subscribed to it, and checked that skyve didn't disable it (even tried to enable then disable). What am I missing? :(

This building no longer seems to function. No one ever visits; not even pedestrians or bikes. Even after moving the building or turning it off & on again.

@nhatanh0475 Its an issue with all parking garages, or more specifically, how vehicle travel the most direct distance. There is a work around with Road Anarchy (thanks for @Emiricol4Rl)

I just discovered how to fix the "flying cars" issue where they fly up to the parking spot. Use Fine Road Anarchy or similar; place a road "stub" right where the entrance will go; place the garage *over* that road stub, with the entrance lining up over the stub (which is now hidden). Because cars use the shortest path, they'll appear to drive into the entrance, and you won't see them fly up to their spot anymore.

Sorry about the spam, but it works for any parking lot in the game. So if you have a loop in, from for example a custom parking mod, you are more or less guaranteed a successful parking if you have 10 km/h speed limit and U-turn at the end of the parking zone.

Tip 2: Make an intersection U-turn, most handily inside the garage at the end of a loop, and it seems to further more increase the parking success rate. Believe it or not, I got the parking rate to 100% inside my testing garage. If the fail the entire loop they apparently are guaranteed to park if they hit the junction. Don't forget to turn on ignore to leave space in intersections so they don't get stuck. Of course you need TM:PE for all of this.

The parking garage is really great thanks to its capacity of 256 cars. It's a lot of cars in a pretty small area. It looks decent enough too.

Tip: Try to lead a road straight inside using Road Anarchy and slow the cars down to 10 km/h on that stretch of road. The trigger to fetch a parking lot seems to "proc" on a timer basis so letting them drive a little in there appears to increase the parking success rate. The more time they spend around their destination the more likely they are to get to the parking.

I've discovered that one can simulate an underground garage by using the "Move It" mod to sink this garage into the ground and then plopping the desired building(s) over it -- it's best to use buildings which don't have trees of other props which will be over the garage, as they will sink to the hidden ground-level. Depending on the size(s) of the building(s), one might want to use some of the "Ploppable Asphalt +" props ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=1258162457 ) to hide the hole before placing the building(s).

Of course, the cars which park in such a sunken garage "dive" into the ground ... in contrast to flying into the air normally.

Very good parking lot. If you open another entrance and exit, the weird phenomenon of the car flying directly up will be solved. I hope the author can optimize it, thank you!

Great asset and is working well in my city so far. Obviously some cars fly into the parking spaces, but hey that's the limitation of the game. :steamhappy:

I discovered an amazing little hack to add some realism and stop most of the cars from "flying" onto the ramp. If you use road anarchy to place a road going into the parking ramp (you can line it right up with the ramp entrance) you will see cars driving into and out of the ramp because this is now the closest road to the parking spaces. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but when it does work it's amazing. Love this asset!

@Ilion Removed entertainment from the asset, and the parking garage still works! Just seems to be a stack of parking lot lines, like those from the parking lot roads. Thanks for your effort.

The reason for entertainment from parking lots and garages is probably because (real) people, and apparently cims, like to have handy parking. I expect that the cims would still park there if the garage didn't have values for "entertainment accumulation" and "entertainment radius" ... but I'm not positive, since I set those on the (free placement) parking lots I uploaded. This asset doesn't attract visitors, which is reasonable.

You could modify the asset with the Asset Editor. or you could subscribe to the "Customize It" mod and modify the asset on the fly.

I don't like the parking garage providing entertainment. There are a couple of parking garage mods available in the workshop, but all give entertainment. Is there a specific reason, i.e., that it's the only way to make a parking building work? Or could I just disable entertainment in the asset editor and cims would still use the garage?

I just can't get anyone to park here! I've done the Traffic Manager adjustment, my roads are good enough... I have several of these around the city, and zero hits. I pulled someone else's asset, and it started being used right away! I like the shape of yours better, and want to use it - but it has to be used by the public!
