Cubes have a diameter of 0.1 units in the editor. You can build complex structures if you copy the location of an existing cube and simply add or subtract 0.1 units to the XYZ location parameters in the editor. Thats how you can build things similar to the principals of Minecraft.

To create even more complex structures such as spheres, you first have to calculate the size by dividing 360° by a fitting number. The smaller that number, the larger your sphere will be.
After that just place a cube and create another one with the same locations, but this time you add the result (360 / (your number)) to any angular parameter. After that just repeat his step, until you reached the first cube again. At the end you should have a circle.
If you want you can copy this circle with (select) Ctrl+D and spin the whole structure to fit into the first circle. Then you just have to do that until you reach the other end again, and thats how you build a sphere.
