hey, author. i made a personal patch for the issues i complained earlier. i even did a little C++ to copy Thrumbo's spawn event for the Mantises. if you want, i can help you implement this functionality into your mod, if you dont mind

Fix things here and there, give mantises combat rating high enough(i think) to give generator second thoughts to spawn them on map, now(if not working earlier) spiderwool apparel can be cremated

the mantises are so unbalanced... if theyre the size of thrumbos but are predatory, wouldnt it be more sensible to make them spawn like thrumbo? its always worrying if theyre spawned on starting map... their spawn should be an event like thrumbo instead. also, spiderwool clothes wont be recognized in the cremator if you have the bill to destroy clothes. i had different tainted clothes of different materials, but only spiderwool get left behind. anyway, thanks for adding more bugs in the game!

Hey! Dunno if you're still working on the mod, i've been using it on 1.2, and noticed the roaches were missing a south texture. I've opened your mod and noticed there is a space at the end of the file-name for the south texture! Really, it's that shrimple.

Anyhow, thanks for the mod, nice to see insects that don't look like little limb-less nightmares!

Mosquito update. Mosquitos now will lay 20-40 eggs every 20 days and hatch after 1 day. They still lives 0.5 years. Has 90% wildness so needed lv9+ handler to tame. Now additionaly can consume Animal Products. For Biotech they are milkable every 10 days for 1 hemogen pack.

it's possible, but will cause balance issue. Because now Mosquitos are not tamable, they breed almost as much as others Insects. When i decide balance is not harmed too much then i will do it.

Reason i made this:
Cockroaches - leaves self-named meat(instead of pork/beef)
Spiders - because i wanted them as "Venerated animals"

my cockroaches seem to be getting hypothermia; since they're bugs, shouldn't they be getting the hypothermic slowdown that megaspiders and such get?

Thats fair enough, I think since Ideology there are a lot of animals that are easily farmable for regular meat, but theres not many easy farmable insects for insect meat, the Arthuplureo from Megafauna or Alpha Animals (cant remember which) has been the best i've found thus far, but it'd be good if there was an easily breedable alternative that didn't provide so much meat but had a quick breeding time and growth time. Not sure if you'd want to rewrite the code for the meat for the existing animals or make a new animal for that purpose, but just a thought. Still going to use the mod regardless as its awesome! Just waiting on that taming inspiration before tackling trying to tame a mantis..

Meat was intentionaly maded non-insect, this was made pre-Ideology as fast replicating meat, so i guess it is need to rework a little to meet a nowadays expectations.
No, no new insects planned, because this need time to plan and write XML, also to make a decent texture.
