TROPHYEARNER - heres an idea: don't wear an unusual when your playing competitive :D
Awesome idea, hopes its added ingame despite myself not being wealthy enough to have an unusual to myself D:

There can be an option,on the server or individual bases to mute. However most servers I play, play 24/7 music and I never had a problem with lag. Also wearing an unusual, people use to tell me it was a disadvantage because I would be noticed more (ie, Burning Unusual) however they were wrong again because I still game the same with no disadvantage. Also when I play against bosses and they have music theme for them as well as music playing still no problem...

That's pretty good but the whole idea of adding sound effects to unusual hats would be an overall horrible idea because of various reasons. If you're playing the game, you want to be subtle and hard to see or be spotted by the enemy team or else you'll be taking a lot more unnecessary damage. As spy, if you were going up to backstab somebody and the person who was about to be killed heard that, you would be dead quicker than you can imagine.

Especially with competitive players, who use their unusual hats to quickly spot out enemy spies. They would be fairly sad to not have that advantage anymore.

Last of all, there could be sound stacking and lag. Having so many sound effects and musical scores (on certain servers) can add a tiny bit of lag. Unusual sound effects would only add to this.

Anywho, that's just my two cents.

also on maps where there are thunder sounds, it will feel like you are the storm :P

but they really need to use their imagination on some of the hats xD

Well, people DJ music and I can still game so I do not see a problem with a subtle thunderstorm

No offense, but I really think this is a bad idea. Having a thunderstorm roaring over your head in the midst of battle would get really annoying really fast.

Nice, would be nice if it didnt make much sound though, and no sound at all for a spy, as it could ruin his stealth.

I think it would be nice for every unusual to emit a small sound

I mean it was so simple. a effect with no sound does not make sense. I do not even care about any profit, I just think there needs to be sound...something?

Great idea on the sounds, but I think there should be an option to turn the sound off, or at least lower the volume.

Only problem I see with this is that sneaking gets much harder.
