This is a notice that some functionality this extension will likely be broken by wiremod/wire#2399 if you don't convert your ``e2function``s to return proper ``Vector`` and ``Angle`` userdata rather than tables of three numbers.

This is a copy pasted message, I cba to download the addon and check myself if it does contain use of these. Feel free to delete if this is non-applicable.

why is there no example chips or tutorials anywhere
Napalm (OOF) 1. aug. 2021 kl. 13:26
Hey did anyone ever do an example E2?
Tumble Trash᠌ ⁧⁧ Official 8. dec. 2020 kl. 17:53
can someone remake this E2? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yavq8dzPIiU
Business Cat 19. aug. 2019 kl. 15:27
is there any e2 plugin that can? would be much appreciated
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 19. aug. 2019 kl. 5:02
Not that I know of.
Business Cat 18. aug. 2019 kl. 19:50
is there a way to call up existing particle systems from pcf files? that would be much more useful than creating new particle systems inside of the e2 for what i need
DeHelleman 27. apr. 2019 kl. 3:01
i found an older version of the addon and that one works fine, it was an old e2 based on the ParticleCore so likely during some update, it started f*cking up, although thank you for trying anyways my dude, i barely know how to make an E2 work myself, let stand with an extension that i havent touched in years, so i was just plain confused with what would be a good replacement for the particle() that no longer exists, but the older version i found still has that piece so it works now
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. 2019 kl. 16:36
It's been so long since I worked on this I honestly don't know what works, what doesn't, and what isn't included at all. If I remember rightly you can still use particleCreate() with all the other functions to set one up. I might look into particle() soon but chances are slim since I don't play GMod often anymore.
DeHelleman 26. apr. 2019 kl. 13:23
Question, all of the extention works except for particle(), it shows as "no such function", anyway to fix this?
spook_rose 19. apr. 2019 kl. 11:35
WOAH XY u helped to make this lmao diddnt see that comming
Sanders 2. mar. 2019 kl. 16:00
ok cool thanks
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2019 kl. 6:37
Use PAC3's material browser, it separates sprites from regular materials
Sanders 2. mar. 2019 kl. 2:47
ok so i have it working but this command doesnt do anything: particlesList()
Sanders 13. nov. 2018 kl. 17:29
this is the e2 extention list (just checking the box enables it) https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/ugc/938333465957560917/2DC7668B97020126B477784002C5E94002BC0B2B/

its not there and not in console either im still trying to fix this lol
Sanders 13. nov. 2018 kl. 17:22
ok so i tried it again and its sad to say that either gmod is broken or wire is messed up and not adding it lol cause i did a fresh install and even reset gmod back to defult and nothing.
Sanders 13. nov. 2018 kl. 13:48
odd i tried that too and nothing but ill try again
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2018 kl. 4:06
I would try with no e2 extensions but this one and see if it works. That's all I can really reccomend since it works on my end and everybody else I've talked to says it works.
Sanders 13. nov. 2018 kl. 2:38
despite an new install of gmod thease are all my e2 extentions https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/ugc/954095759595018387/BD163B6AA3DCB2DBD0DDD52FD70F527F35CC3157/ i have tried with just particle core enabled and its not working do you know of ANY addons that would cause this not to work?
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2018 kl. 6:55
Try removing some and see if it works
Sanders 10. nov. 2018 kl. 20:04
thease are my e2 extentions https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/ugc/954095759586083496/D3477F46F758A2602A882054134C328779681BA8/ and i have maybe 150 addons (maybe less)
Sanders 10. nov. 2018 kl. 19:00
hmm ill look
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 9. nov. 2018 kl. 12:55
I've just tested it and I have no problems on my end. Do you have a ridiculously high number of addons? It's been well-documented that can lead to a lot of issues. Other than that, I really have no idea.
Sanders 8. nov. 2018 kl. 23:54
basiclly upon making a lan server (and i belive Single player too) this extention will not even function. please fix this.
Sanders 8. nov. 2018 kl. 18:39
my issue good sir is when i use this on a LAN or singleplayer i cannot enable this extention. why?
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 8. nov. 2018 kl. 4:19
I don't understand the problem you're trying to fix
Sanders 7. nov. 2018 kl. 20:18
please if you don't mind i have the e2 from the workshop subbed to and its not enabled. why and how do i fix? cause again despite it being subbed to its not showing up. and thats kinda bad cause i was gonna make an e2 for a car with this
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2018 kl. 16:38
I've already explained that it's materials based, if you want different particles, use a different material.
Sanders 7. nov. 2018 kl. 14:55
i never said it was your issue lol i just need to fifure how to enable this e2 function in a lan server XD and is there a way to add other particles to this?
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2018 kl. 4:12
Well, that's his problem, not mine. I can't do anything about that.
Sanders 7. nov. 2018 kl. 1:48
i mean he was lazy not me lol he just doesnt wanna add wire to the controller saying "no one would use that" and i was baffeled telling him many people would.
Sanders 6. nov. 2018 kl. 17:09
Xyvoracle i asked months ago "saying he was lazy or somthing i can't remember"
Kiva 5. nov. 2018 kl. 16:07
Indeed.
I'll let the author take over from here, I no longer have the mental capacity to keep this up.
Oh and thanks for this addon.
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 5. nov. 2018 kl. 12:44
If you want wire inputs for particle controller, get in touch with the creator of it. It honestly isn't hard to implement that stuff.
Kiva 5. nov. 2018 kl. 7:23
Jerk? Trying to give you a heads up.
The Adv Particle tool relies on a button on the keyboard to activate, Wire numpad outputs can simulate keystrokes for tools, so it would work theoretically.
Sanders 5. nov. 2018 kl. 3:40
@Mariner ok one you seem to be a dick 2. wasnt talking about this was talking about the particle controller TOOL you cannot use the woremod addon with it as it doesnt allow inputs / outputs like that. so next time if you be a jerk take it and your crap elsewhere thanks pal :steammocking:
Kiva 4. nov. 2018 kl. 18:23
No wire outputs?
Ever heard of Wire numpad outputs?

God a brick wall is smarter.
Sanders 4. nov. 2018 kl. 18:22
ok and i would use that controller but the issue is it doesnt have wire inputs / outputs haha but thank you
Kiva 4. nov. 2018 kl. 18:21
Aww... I wanted to yell at Sanders.
First come, first served I guess.
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. 2018 kl. 18:13
First of all, one call of the particle() function generates one particle, use interval/tickrate to set how fast you want it to spawn. Second, particle controller uses actual Source particles, and this uses material particles, the two are not cross-compatible, and there's nothing I can do about that. If you want to use Source particles, just use advanced particle controller...
Sanders 4. nov. 2018 kl. 17:03
ok so im in a server that uses this is there any way you clould add a spawn rate funtion? and maybe even allow us to use particles from the adv particle controller?
Sanders 4. nov. 2018 kl. 15:06
how??
cause it doesnt show up in the stupid list and doing wire_expression2_enable (extention here) doesnt work
Kiva 4. nov. 2018 kl. 13:26
[LUMOS]SANDERS
You need to enable it in the console.
Sanders 4. nov. 2018 kl. 9:23
ok so on a lan server this doesnt work as in it will not show up in the e2 list why? and thats kinda sad cause i was gonna play in a lan but i canot when i cant use this nice function
Sanders 4. nov. 2018 kl. 8:50
ok so idk if im doing this wrong but Mat2=particlesList() where Mat2:array() is persisted and it does nothing why?
Sanders 6. apr. 2018 kl. 12:17
No such function: particleCreate(void) at line 70, char 1
76561198171081079 1. apr. 2018 kl. 17:01
oh ok
thank you
Xyvoracle  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2018 kl. 17:00
What do you mean by E2 list? Do you mean in your Expression 2 files folder, or in the extensions menu? It's supposed to be in the extensions menu. It's not a seperate E2 by itself.
76561198171081079 1. apr. 2018 kl. 16:20
i cant find it in my E2 list?
how do i add it?
