There is another version from a different user, from 2014 it seems, i don't know if that has that problem you are having, Kesshin, but it may be worth a look.

But if there are any updates or fixes that may be needed (i don't know because i never have the original board game) i encourage you not to give up on this, and keep working on it if you can!
