To get this to work with the 2K mod launcher follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to: Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\815223794
2. Open RemasteredSAS.XcomMod with notepad
3. Delete everything underneath the Description line
4. Save the changes
5. Profit

It wont show up in launcher

I encounterd the same problems as you have. So you have to edit the discription tag to be proper formated for .ini files.
The file you guys need to change is called SASPack.XComMod ;-)
It should be pretty obviuos once you see it,

@Uncle Gunman, thank you for your help. Unfortunatelly the mod doesn't appear in the launcher. So I'm unable to activate it, even after reinstalling.

@Tranquil - hmm beyond the old uninstall/reinstall I don't what else to do. I suppose if the customisation options aren't showing up then it's not active?

@ Uncle Gunman, in my version the mod doesn't even appear in the mod list of the game launcher. So I can't activate / deactivate it, not sure atm if it is active or not. The skins don't appear if I'm equipping my troops :-(

Not sure, this version of the mod should work with vanilla xcom 2. What's the issue? I probably won't be able to fix it as I don't have the files anymore and haven't modded xcom 2 in years, but someone else may be able to pick it up and update it.

Is there any way to have it so randomly generated recruits and people equiping a new armor to not use modded armor so I don't have to change out the cosmetics every time I get armor upgrades and my operators have a mish mash of XCOM and SAS armor?

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to update this or any of my other mods any time soon as I don't have access to any of the files. If anyone else can fix my mods to work with the expansion then by all means do so.

Great mods! I love giving my people somewhat more realistic appearances. I currently use the Metal Gear BDU sets as Task Force 141 stand-ins for one squad (you can make the jackets one colour or camo while making the pants a different colour), Woodland scheme SAS with open faces and ball caps for another, and Desert scheme SAS with gasmasks for another.

I just wish I knew how Beagle made it so his female soldiers could wear the Shadow Company helmets.

didnt MW Remastered just add female models for multiplayer you could use?

For all those asking for female variants I've quickly edited some. Note that they're far from perfect, the torsos for instance are only scaled down and not reshaped, so they'll be pretty bulky. Hopefully they'll do for now.
