Since it monitors and interupts signals, could it hack into other sentries? For example, could one point it at an enemy sentry and cause it to heal your team mates instead of damaging them?

how do you get this

looks same as stock, you just added this so you can make a whole set, but it makes it that much harder

maybe it can slow down enemy sentries firing speed by ~60% when you aim at it and increase the firing speed of yours by ~10% (i can see people building a mini sentry then using this to use their sentry to kill the enemy sentry)

I agree with goldensquid1 except it would need to be able to target allys for spy check

goldensquid1, i think you have a good idea there. that is a problem that the engineer faces, and it adds a good mechanic to the game(not counting the engineer, lulz)

how bout this for some great stats
uses much like the wrangler except instead of manually controlling your sentry you use it to tag a player. This would leave a symbol above their head that only you can see and then your sentry will ONLY shoot that one marked player. until of course that player leaves the sentrys range or goes out of sight of your sentry. huh HUH what about dat... seems like a good idea to me. It would be great for picking off high value targets, like ever see a medic go past and your like dam i wish my sentry would kill the guy with uber intead of the stupid pan bonk scout running around my sentry.

This should be a reskin!

I personally think this would be great as a reskin,like the pip-boy. I dont really think the wrangler is something you could change the stats of.

You know what would be cool? Instead of a joystick, a holigram of a sentry gun.

maybe some metal regen as well I realised

How about making a shield around you that removes damage from your metal first

FUCKING GOD DAMN COOL!

I have a really stupid idea again.
Gives the energy sentry three modes.
Mode 1 : Normal Sentry
Mode 2 : Healing Beam For People Round You(Uses Up The Machine's Ammo And Cools Down For 15 Seconds)
Mode 3 : BOOM! Shoot at a faster and more powerful rate and become invulnerable for 5 seconds. (Requires A Dispenser and Will Destroy the dispenser[not required]) (Cools down for 30 seconds, it will still cool down if the engie holds it)

The splendid screen equivalent of the wrangler idea is actually good.
Its gives you better damage abilities and yet it is still vulnerable.

Control the enemy sentry gun, really... If you controlled a level 3 sentry in an enemy base, it would blow everything ELSE. Fun i must say...

@saneshadows also removes cloakes spies :)

How about:
+ Prevents enemy sentries from being wrangled when targeted by this weapon

- A harmless beam is fired while active

So pretty much a little tool to help against wrangled enemy sentries.

This could control either yours or the enemies sentry!
But would cause less damage with your sentry gun.
And everything else works like a werangler

Stats?
+When active the Eye on You Perk is active
When the EoY is active the player becomes most important.
Example: When active the players sentry will direct its attention to the player and target any who near him or damage him. When withdrew the sentry shall revert back into normal state.
+ Can be used to select targets.
Unlike the wrangler this can let you just target one person and then leave the sentry to its work.
Example: You target a medic healing a heavy. The sentry will ignore the heavy and target the medic instead.

+ Allows you to take manuel control of your Sentry Gun
+ 20% Sentry Gun damage bonus while in use

- 40% less shield protection
- No firing speed increase while in use

Basically, the Splendid Screen equivilant to the Wrangler, focusing more on damage and less on defensive purposes.
