Maybe im totally blind, but i have seen videos where people have used this for breeding purpose, yet i cant see any stats or anything with these Binoculars. Am i missing something?

is there any easy way to make the zoom levels less precise so instead of scrolling 20 times just like 5 zoom levels? and when you activate the binos it starts on the furthest zoom out? maybe a config or something editable

The tek tier binoculars in the future will show creature stats to help with breeding so u dont need to knock them out to check anymore.

Ok, so i played around with these in singleplayer.
Mods I have are S+, resource stacks, builders helmet, super tranq rifle, and kibble vending machine.

Mats needed to craft:
50 ingots
50 crystal
10 electronics
25 obsidian


Pros:
Ability to scroll zoom/FOV is awesome.
Compass is awesome.
Lat-Lon indicators are awesome.
Rangefinder may be useful in the future.

Cons:
Cannot use while mounted on a flyer, landed or airborn, i tried quetz, argent and ptera.
Cannot use while mounted on a mammoth but you can use on a bear, those are the only two dinos i tested.

I think the Lat-Lon indicators are backwards, lat should be on the left as it's what everyone is used to, it's that way on the map and everyone gives lat reading first.

I can't think of any current use for the rangefinder, maybe if we knew the ranges of weapons but i guess you could test all of them to find out.

I think the magnifying glass readout should be integrated into these.

@Spartan James - It's easy enough to play on primitive only servers, and to play on servers that dont run the Tek mods, to say what they should be is forcing other players to play by what you consider the game to be, thats what i love about ark, so many servers out there with so many mods, you can basically play your way.
@Mr.James - most of what i typed can also apply to you, you feel that its ruining the game while alot of players are enjoying the variety of options available to playing a survival game. You say its ruining the game while it can also be said to be done through finding them in ruins and such from a previous civilation, who knows, the point is the game is meant to be fun and to say that one type of mod or a set of items is ruining a game show narrowmindness.

Need to remember, its a GAME, its meant to be played for fun.

@MR.JAMES I total agree! Tec tier should not be added or only be obtainable through BPs in loot crates found in caves. And should ONLY be primitive.
