Ticking Warscore

For those who still play Stellaris 2.1: I created a new AI mod which is based on Glavius's work, but my mod goes much deeper and have a lot of unique features, leading to much better AI. And also I update it quite often, adding new stuff.

You can check proof of this and read detailed description here:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2055544110

Thank you!

2.0 makes ticking warscore redundant. Just take the claimed territory, wait for attrition to reach 100% and then status-quo to take whatever territory you've claimed and are currently holding.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 6. apr. 2018 kl. 8:47
It is not. I haven't had a chance to play too much with 2.0, but with the way the new war system works, I'm not sure how to update it to make it work for 2.0.
GSS Suicidal Insanity 3. apr. 2018 kl. 0:30
is this mod being updated any more?
Hyndis 31. jan. 2018 kl. 16:21
On Feb 22nd warscore as we know it goes away. The war system gets a complete and total overhaul.
[MF] Marko 31. jan. 2018 kl. 10:02
@Spartan - Found that out today too...maybe it's an engine limitation in case of this mod, but gotta say that is a big game breaker.
Kiyo 3. jan. 2018 kl. 6:06
I installed this mod assuming it worked similar to EU4 in that if I for example declared war for Planet Xa nd held it I'd get warscore. That part at least is correct. However unlike EU4 if I loose planet X I do not loose the associated warscore I accumulated while I held it. Now this isn't an issue when attacking but I've been in a 40 year long fucking war because the enemy stacked -65 warscore on me and even though I retook all my occupied worlds the warscore is STILL THERE. Long story short neither side can win the war the game has become stale as shit and neither side occupies a single world. Nonetheless due to my constant negative warscore I was forced to concede 2 planets and accept humiliation. I honestly feel quite cheated so I've uninstalled this mod in the full knowledge without it I'd have been at +9 warscore rather than -56 and could have comfortably white peaced around year 10 without wasting literally hundreds of thousands of minerals only to loose in the end anyway.

Anything that modifies war demands has the potential to interfere with this mod. If you have a mod that lowers the cost of wars, it can interfere with it.
falhxer 10. dec. 2017 kl. 4:21
It works perfectly, how always
greenlikeme 7. dec. 2017 kl. 19:20
Are there any mods that would keep ticking warscore from working? Maybe ones that haven't been update with the 1.9 patch? I continued the game I started yesterday and there are no tickings.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2017 kl. 14:35
Updated for 1.9. Kimestry, it does not unless you declare an independence war.
SirKimestry 5. dec. 2017 kl. 7:16
Hi, does this include negative ticking warscore? Not mentioned in the description :(

I'm asking because in my current playthrough a spiritualist FE DOW'd materialist me but he can't get through my teritorry because a huge ai empire (hivemind-devouring swarm) is blocking his way through me and my allies. It's 10 years now and nothing's happening. :(
SquidNeko 4. nov. 2017 kl. 10:55
Okay. Awesome. Thanks. =3
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. 2017 kl. 9:36
It is save compatible. You can add it or remove it from an ongoing save without any problem. The only caveat being that ticking warscore accrued while the mod was active, will be still be there after the mod is disabled.
SquidNeko 2. nov. 2017 kl. 18:43
Is this mod save compatible?
Xeonzs 14. okt. 2017 kl. 15:11
If you guys could would out the compatibility patch that'd be super awesome!
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 14. okt. 2017 kl. 14:14
You would have to pick one or the other.

Caligula Caeser, feel free to make a compatibility patch. The one downside of Paradox modding is being forced to choose between two mods that both edit the same game files in different ways. As for more subscribers than unique visitors, I think it's because people subscribe to collections that include this mod rather than coming to the main page and subscribing to it.
Caligula Caesar 13. okt. 2017 kl. 7:23
If you're ok with it @Barbaricca, I can make a compatibility patch, it would be the easiest thing ever (I am the creator of that mod).
Out of interest, how did you get more subscribes than unique views?
Xeonzs 13. okt. 2017 kl. 4:50
Yea didn't think about that.
I have http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1157515399
Galactic Unification - Cheaper War Demands

At first I didn't think it would be incompatible as it was a research instead of a straight reduction.
However I see you guys both edit at least 3 same files which are:
00_planetary_war_demands
00_subject_war_demands
00_station_war_demands

Would changing the load order help or do I have to pick between the 2 mods?
I'll also post a question if this can be made compatible on that mod's page.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 12. okt. 2017 kl. 17:45
To get ticking warscore, you either need to occupy the planet that is your wargoal or, for the other wargoals, you need to occupy their capital. If all you want are two planets that are easily under the war cost cap, you can cheese it by adding on a bunch of minor wargoals and then immediately occupying their capital world. If the mod isn't working, it's possible that you have another mod that's being loaded after this that is also overwriting the files in the description. Likely culprits are ones that reduce the cost of wars across the board.
Hyndis 12. okt. 2017 kl. 3:56
Works great in 1.8.2, my warscore is ticking up 0.5 per month per objective completed. It'll help break some of those eternal stalemate wars. Thanks!
Xeonzs 11. okt. 2017 kl. 23:55
The reason I'm asking is because I was trying out the mod yesterday, I fought 5 wars and wiped out 2 empires and a half, but I didn't see the warscore tick once, I kept a close eye on it at the end of the month but I didn't see it tick a single time.

Normally I only put the things I actually want, let's say an empire next to me has an dickmove frontier outpost and 2 systems near my border that are pushing back my border.
For the war demands I'll only place 2 cedes (Because I love purging and it's cheaper than cleanse requests) and a humiliate, I won't request the FO because I'll destroy it myself and nothing else either because I want to keep them to surrender soon and meet my demands.

However it seems I'm not making the most out of this mod then?

Sorry for splitting up the comments, character limit.
Xeonzs 11. okt. 2017 kl. 23:52
So how exactly do I use this?
"For the wargoals that operate on planets, you will gain 0.5 warscore a month as long as you occupy the planet or habitat in question."
So I will only get ticking warscore for planets that on my demands list?

What about frontier outposts?
I never put those on my list because I don't want to inflate my warscore requirement for victory and I always go for those first before attacking the planets (easy border decrease), but with this mod should I add them to the list so that when I capture the enemies capital I will get 1 ticking warscore for every outpost I requested destroyed (even though I'll destroy them myself)?

Does the capital have to be on the list of demands (cede/liberate) for this ticking to start?
AI Ban, Stop Atrocities, Humiliate, Dismantle Frontier Outpost, and Total Victory will give 1 warscore a month if you occupy the target empire's capital world.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2017 kl. 15:58
Updated for 1.8.2.
Red1 7. okt. 2017 kl. 13:21
Awesome sauce. 1.8.2 is almost out and that should be the last major patch for a while according to the dev diaries.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2017 kl. 19:48
Right now the mod's not compatibile with 1.8.1 because it reverts the liberate wargoal back to the 1.8.0 version, which has the despicable neutral bug. I'll get it updated to 1.8.1 when it goes live. As for Open Borders, it was commented out back in 1.6 and I never bothered to remove it from the description.
Peter34 1. okt. 2017 kl. 11:44
Is Open Borders even still a chooseable War Goal in 1.8.0/1.8.1?
Aquitaine 1. okt. 2017 kl. 9:59
On 1.8.1 beta, after liberating a few planets after a war, the new liberated empire had no name and were 'despicable neutrals' (the bug from 1.8.0) -- but after reloading and disabling this mod, it worked correctly. I only had 2 or 3 mods enabled and tried without each one, and for whatever reason, this one was responsible even though I can't imagine how.
Red1 24. sep. 2017 kl. 16:24
Thanks for the update, looking forward to full implementation.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 21. sep. 2017 kl. 16:24
This is an initial compatibility update for 1.8. There are new war types of Liberate Country and Total Machine Defeat that don't have ticking war goals yet because I haven't had a chance to test them yet.
Crytek 21. sep. 2017 kl. 11:10
Update please ;)
MrBlazzar™ 21. sep. 2017 kl. 8:53
Any chance of being updated for the new Update and DLC?
Red192 28. aug. 2017 kl. 5:39
Can you add an extra war score per month when you are in overwhelming fleet superiority?

If you can not fight (probably after losing the fleet) the enemy anymore, the warscore grows fast in the case of: AI Ban, Stop Atrocities, Open Borders, Humiliate, Dismantle Frontier Outpost
Echo 26. aug. 2017 kl. 3:37
Would it be possible to have a compatibility patch with Ethics, Civics and Traditions Rebuild?
TheRenegade 18. aug. 2017 kl. 9:51
K, must be a conflict between this mod and another. I added yours this go around and it has moved. Kinda frusterating
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2017 kl. 20:47
I don't know. The only mod I use is this one and mine's still in the bottom right.
TheRenegade 17. aug. 2017 kl. 15:18
Why did the warscore icon move from the bottom right of the screen to the top left? That seems to make it rather inconvient due to then being nmostly blocked when you are in a fleet battle or otherwise have a window open...
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 14. aug. 2017 kl. 18:38
That's a limitation of the way the mechanic is implemented in Stellaris. There doesn't seem to be a way to change it.
Malaktica 12. aug. 2017 kl. 22:43
I did have the same issue as Tabris, the ticking warscore do not reverse when you save one of your planete that was an oppenant 's wargoal.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2017 kl. 20:11
You can't.
Moon Sparks 10. aug. 2017 kl. 19:31
What happens if i use it in a normal war?
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2017 kl. 18:52
Total Victory is the war goal used during the War in Heaven.
Moon Sparks 9. aug. 2017 kl. 4:48
What does "Total Victory " do
Vern 12. juni 2017 kl. 16:30
i started taking planet after planet at time got the war score down to 31% but always bouncing back to 38-45% after about 100 years i have every single planet from all 3 empire under my control they have nothing left but still have a 31% war score and climbing due to the system i can't enter and reclaim . i ended up losing that war having to dismatle 4 frontier out post and give up my ally as a vassle and so after over 100 years i control every planet they have and still lose and lose most of my land due to the loss of my outposts .
Vern 12. juni 2017 kl. 16:30
i lost a war . i have a defense pact with a 1 system empire right next to me this empire is a xenophobe so even though i am friends they have closed boarder. war declared they lose that 1 planet ticking score starts i am bigger than the 3 nation faction that went to war . i wipe all the hostile fleets once they entered my space they at this time still have a 38% war score from the capture and ticker from my ally who no matter what i give him won't open his system for me and thus began the 100 year long war
Tabris 10. juni 2017 kl. 0:30
I really enjoy this mod but just had some problems with it. I went to war against a coalition of 3 nations, one of their goals was taking a very small and far from everything planet i own. They took the planet pretty fast and the ticking warscore began, at the same time i was occupying planet after planet from then, until i occupied the whole target of my demand (to vassalize) and my ticking warscore also started. I feel that it was too easy for then to accomplish the wargoal and get it to very high levels, even thought they were losing the war.

I then went and took back the planet they had occupied but upon doing so noticed that the ticking warscore is still there, it stopped ticking but is not ticking back to 0. I'm now having to occupy planets from the other enemies to try to get the warscore high enough.

Could i make a comparability patch for this and my mod - Improved Border System- . I added a new war demand - cede frontier outposts.
Barbariccia  [ophavsmand] 19. maj 2017 kl. 19:13
It's possible that there's another mod that's overwriting the same files that this mod does, which would prevent it from working.
