@noobient Unfortunately I haven't touched this map even before the endless update and haven't been able to maintain all my maps with updates due to time restrictions.

I would say if someone feels the drive to update it I can add them as a co-creator and update this workshop with them credited.

Oh boy, now I went back to the Infinite Onslaught update, and tried this out. 7 waves, all the waves worked, I was like, OMG, it's gonna happen now? And then the boss wave came, and my weapons disappeared, then I was slaughtered by az invisible Hans Volter :D Damn, I miss this map so much, it really was one of my favorites.

This is a very cool map! I like the unique gameplay and how the chambers are all so massive and sterile feeling. It gives the enviroment an alien and unsettling feel, and I like that. :)

Still almost unplayable, on one round almost all the enemies were invisible, so my friend and I were just destroyed by Fleshpounds. We retried and on round 5 all the enemies went invisible again. It was in the main hub so I was just able to kill them all but the next round our inventories completely disappeared so we just quit.

The invisible corpse and the door of room 2 are stuck. I hope the author can repair this map as soon as possible. I like it very much.

Yeah, room 5 has zeds underneath the floor that are still able to kill you. The only way I was able to harm them was with grenades that somehow phased through the floor.

Sorry, I was overreacting. Yes, I know how hard it is to tackle down bugs. I'm just really sorry this map is not playable, coz what I said was true - this really was my fav, or at least top3.

And I sure do appreciate all the dedicated mappers in this community, coz I'm well aware that like 80% of all the maps are created by like 10-20 people, which is crazy.

Anyhow, if we're to abandon ship, let's just wait until you finish your new project, coz Stratum sure as hell looks promising and I can't wait to try it! Gl on that one.

@noobient you underestimate the time I have put in to fix these issues. I have tried to fix every issued reported but don't have the time currently to dig into them further.

I am sorry if I upset you with my response as it was a sarcastic play. I am aware the pillars can come down faster to avoid killing people with it as a resolution. But the theme with this map is if it looks like it can crush you then it probably can.

I did make sure to not block any doorways and you should be able to squeeze past it if that is not the case then I am mistaken.

Dude, the map's been unplayable since krampus update (8 months). "You'll look into it", then nothing happens.

Then I show another problem, and it's not a bug either, it's boss wave and I should dodge it. 1) It was wave 4/7. 2) There's ONE way to come out from a room after the wave. This ceiling is blocking that ONE way and crushes me, even though I was sprinting all the way and was staying close to the exit mid-wave, so I was as fast as I could get.

This was my favorite map, and I tried to get it fixed, but we CANNOT play on it, we always wipe after a few waves. We didn't suddenly all forget how to beat KF2, it's the invisible zeds/sliding around on random spots/ceilings randomly crushing us, among others.

Every coder prefers new features over bugfixes, but if you never fix the bugs, your efforts will be all in vain eventually. I'll just delete this map from my servers as it's pointless to host a map that's been unbeatable for 8 months, without any indication of intent to fix it.

There's another problem: if you come out "too fast" from a room, you're "squashed" into a cell that comes down from the ceiling. It pushes you down to the floor, then suddenly you're inside it. After the trader time ends, it retreats to the ceiling, at which point you're squashed into the ceiling and die. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in for the invisible zed issue: We had it occur in Room 5 on one match that wiped us out, but then on the match after that we had invisible zeds in the center room. We were able to push past it because once a player died they were able to see all the invisible zeds and played a "Watchtower" of sorts.

Also, don't play this map on Endless. The center room glitches out 1 wave after the boss and won't open any doors. It will still pull the floor and pillars down though.

@Lemon Thanks! That is odd, I have only ever heard of the invisible zed problem being an issue on room 4 and 5. Will try to push something that fixes it.

I will probably remove the alpha part since I am for the most part not goign to update the visuals haha.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I love the map, I feel it gives a nice challenge to keep you on your toes. I run it on my server, but I think most people honestly think it's a debug map... suprises them when I change it to that, haha. :Fistofdosh::Dosh:

Just had my entire server slaughtered by invisible zeds. Once on wave 5 once on wave 6. pretty much a round ender.

Ran the map again and invisible Zeds in room 5 were fixed. There were invisible Zeds in the room featured in the second screenshot though (room 4 I think)?

In the black room (first screenshot), invisible zeds were an issue that caused us a wipe. Also, the eviscerator is bugged in that room as well. It would shoot but nothing would actually come out.

Really hope bugs are fixed because the map is freakin amazing, probably one of the best custom map I've ever played in this game.

- Spawn system has been redone. Spawn related bugs should be fixed
- Implemented changes for Endless mode compatibility

@all I am working on a rework of the spawns since I figured out how to control them in a new way. This should resolve most if not all issues related to spawning.

As for other bugs please post them so I can fix while working on this update!

@SyndicateZulu I have been trying to make the rounds to fix and update all of my maps. I got a few of them done. This one will take a bit longer as I will be replacing the entire spawn system to fix zeds getting stuck among other things.

One of my favorite custom maps! I always imagined there was an evil A.I. or "Guy-behind-the-controls" holding the players captive and unloading an army of monsters on them as they have to fight their way out to escape.

To add how cool everything played out, when my team and I reached the boss, it was Hans, who fitted perfectly with this backstory idea, and seamlessly played his intro animation in sync with dropping down from one of the tubes in the main room, so as to take care of us himself. It was pretty awesome, haha! But needless to say, things didn't favor for him and we prevailed. :steammocking:
