Curious if I am playing the base version but I tick on the Shipwreck compatibility will I still be able to play base game or do I still got use the Base game patch version of her?

i am playing Shipwrecked with this mod and no crash happened, only thing i had to do was subsribe here. Love the art but playing SPW is pretty suicidal due to constantly taking wetness damage. Challenge.

i wasn't expecting you to make any changes, this is just something i made for myself that may be useful. i wanted her to be more than just a discount willow with wolfgang's stats

a bunch of new mechanics were added, i was rebalancing it so torches are an important part of her gameplay, and made her abilities reflect being fire type a bit better, there were a couple issues that needed fixing

the braix.lua file has a LOT of comments from me on what changes were made and why

also i corrected a huge number of typos and grammar issues in the speech file, so you may want to use that if nothing else

steam is preventing me from linking a sane download for the file and removing it

I dunno I like the way it is, and I haven't been playin to much DS lately, but I can look at your work

i have been working on a heavily rebalanced version of this character, to fix a number of significant balance issues, make her a bit more distinct from willow and give her a playstyle focused around use of torches, i believe i have gotten her more or less complete barring a few small tweaks. if you were interested in poking at the build i have created

Can it still be played with SW/ROG and not the normal DS?

Cause apperantly people are talking about special things for this character, I'll throw my two cents in. Prehaps cause she's a psychic type and all she could get much earlier warnings to hound and boss attacks. Also maybe add her stick as a special item, like when you whack something with it it gets set on fire. And it'll appear in her tail when in her inventory and not in har hands. Not demanding this or anything, but figured I might as well suggest it.

@GeFauz It's ok, i would like to do some programming for this character. just tell me what special abilities i should add. you can ask for more complex stuff too, i already worked on some mods and i'm used to characterprogramming.

If you want to, i could look into the code and try to add some more mechanics to this character. For example make fire not hurt her and make her also gains sanity from it.

I really love your mod, But I think it would be cool if Braixen wasn't affected by fire(Being a fire type and such).

Even if it's your own sorta 'style' I guess, is this the final model? Is there going to be no other shading, or other colors you're to feature? Or is it just going to be line art and basic color for the rest of it's time on the workshop? Just curious.

@Mildly Festive Vivian I apreciatte the comment man, but really I don't think I could find myself spending too much time learning to mimic the exact style Klei used to make it's characters, since it also is really far from my actual drawing style. Also a lot of moded characters suffer from looking out of place since everyone has a different style at the moment of trying to make it look like the Don't Starve ones.

I remember even looking at some Shipwrecked assets that also look like they were made by someone else, not as obvios as my mod, but if you look closely it looks like it, especially in the inking technique.

Point is, I'm glad you kind of like it, I don't mind that you say that it looks weird since it does, but what are we going to do, when the guys at Klei are so unique when making their stylistic choice for their games.

I kinda like this mod, but I found myself unsubscribing from it very quickly. No offense, but this character needs some more art work. It's just line art with basic color in it, which is pretty much the oppisite of Don't Starve art style. This character looks really out of place in the game, making characters for Don't Starve is difficult, since its art style is super unique.
