Hey kooky ;) I still use your version, but I noticed something weird. Food that goes into the freezer never spoils even after I remove it from it. Even food cooked with the ingredients from the freezer loose spoilage timer (using insight for that). I found two new "fixed" versions, so I might give them a try. I hope they have English version as they are re-uploaded with Chinese descriptions. Well, one is half and half, but it's the older one.

@snowpudding unfortunately this mod is broken atm. I originally did a small fix for how the freezer worked, but since all of the changes to DST recently, the mod has totally broken. Rolling back the mod or doing a change that should have fixed the problem, both caused crashes no matter what. I had to redo the whole thing which I am hoping to do soon. I'll be re-doing the code and basing it off of how the chester family works since that code I know for a fact works and wasn't messed up to begin with.

Hello, does this mod work with catching moon moth / mushroom spores? The original version of this crashed my server each time I tried catch them and I'm just wondering if anyone's picked up on that yet

I've only changed modmain.lua and prefabs/magicfreezer.lua, but I put the entire mod in the file anyway.
Also please note that while I did test this, I only did so on my own.
I checked that it works for me in a world with and without caves, but I didn't test it online.
Seeing as it worked with caves it should be fine, but just a warning anyway.

The bug that Aleria reported in the "Crash report" discussion happened to me as well in my own mod.
The problem comes from the Magic Freezer mod overriding the containers.widgetsetup() function in order to inject its own widget setup into it. I don't know why the original author did it that way rather than pass along the configuration as a parameter like I did when I set up my own containers, and honestly I don't know why the injection he wrote messes things up, but it does.
I've replaced the override with passing a parameter in that fashion and now both the containers in my mod and the modified Magic Freezer work fine.
Could you please fix this on your end and upload the fixed version?
I'll send you what I did and/or explain it if you'd like.

Thanks for explaining this, I'll add to the description. Freezer refused to fix his mod, rendering the original one useless (and buggy) Sadly I never learned much more outside of that.

For anyone wanting to know the crafting cost since there are many. It appears the recipe SCALES depending on how many slots you choose in the config. You can choose between having 20,40,60 or 80 slots. I haven't checked each of these in game, just calculated it on the assumption maths.floor in lua rounds down to the nearest integer? If I'm wrong on that someone please correct me, I'm not a coder.

If it helps, in the mod collection I made for myself to link friends who want to use the same mods I use, there are mods in there that allow you to craft gears and up that spawn rate a bit out of sheer 'bad luck'.

@kooky112 sorry to have to make you explain yourself again. I read the mod description fully and no mention of this was in there, I generally don't read mod comments due to whatever outdated information there may be. Perhaps you could add it to your description?

As for the world gen settings, sadly, for whatever reason, the game decides to increase the spawn drastically for whatever you may decide to add. One time I added just a tiny percent more clockwork mobs, and they were pretty much everywhere... :rfacepalm:

But thanks for the response in any event, I truly appreciate it, and if I happen to find some gears I'll be sure to add this as a priority!

To respond to this, I'm not the original creator of this mod. I hate to repeat myself over and over about this issue, also in world gen settings you can customize them to make clockworks spawn more frequently.

I personally only know code for the Chester Family mod I made. This mod was just a simple bugfix when the 'no more food spoilage' function stopped working, and Freezer the original creator stopped updating his mod even after I told him I would take this mod down once he fixed his mod.

@kooky112 please reconsider the recipe structure for the "easy" setting, or add in a "noob" setting, as, even after 50+ hours exploring our large world, we only came across 4 gears from Clockwork mobs, so it all depends on how lucky you get with your worldgen. Since I'd love to use this mod, but with the requirements I just wouldn't be able to build it as there are no mobs to farm for them. :(

Actually it's pretty fair. ALso as I put in the description, this is the fixed version so food no longer spoils while inside of this freezer. It also has a fairly LARGE inventory space as well. This is a late game item, my boyfriend and I have run into no issues with 11 fireflies and 11 gears.

When I have this set on easy, the recipe is 11 fireflies, 11 gears, and something else. That seems insane for being the EASY setting. What's up with this? Total bummer.

Yes I understand that, but I need to know what type of mods it may be clashing with to cause such a crash. I use over 50 myself, anything above that makes the game too in depth. I also found running the cherry forest mod would cause crashes.

well i am uesing homes and a lot fo thing for RP server but when i uesed when i open the freezr it crashes me. i ues a lot of mods over 100 mods most mods never crashes me when i desabled the mod it stop crashing but when uesing it some time it crashes

@Ahhhh which other mod are you using? It looks like something to do with a different mod entirely. This mod has a much larger inventory space than a 3x3 which the code is referring to a 3x3 container of some type.

@Dzirt-Ra thankyou, I used google translator to read what you said and all I can say is to make it more fair there are settings to make it harder to build if that seems to make it worth while. ALso I'm not sure how long or how far in days you've made it in DST yet, but you tend to run out of space very quickly. What I do when Im playing with friends (since they're all idiots) is when I cook something in the crockpot, I shove those meals in the freezer, then the uncooked edibles go in a regular fridge to be cooked. That way the hard earned work is saved and nothing spoils because someone messes something stupid up.

Unfortunately Cr4ashmaster no longer updates the perishable mod and this caused the entire perishable mod to stop working. As a matter of fact it worked with the original Magic Freezer mod until the major updates.

Mod works unlike the original, the original one I noticed it was making the food perish FASTER than when it was even in your inventory. And the funny thing is, the creator even asked me if he could use my code to fix the original, and I told him I would take this one down if he did fix it... He never fixed it -.-'

And soon as I get some extra time to type up the ingredients I will happily do that. I moved back in January, and unpacking things has been my top priority along with MY mod 'the Chester Family' which is of my own creation. I used to have a coder help me out with coding the mod, but he recently vanished, so I've got a lot on my plate. Those chesters can be a pain when trying to house break.

Yes, Perishable by cr4shmaster. I have also found it to be outdated since the perishable files have been changed since his last update. Perishable 2.1 no longer works as intended

It shows up in the food crafting tab. Make sure you have it enabled, it works as intended for me. Do you have any other mods you are using? And which ones?
