I updated the version. I heard that not everything works correctly but gonna repair them in incoming days as I'm going to play Stellaris again so... yeah. Back to modding.

The main reasons why I use the Elves of Stellaris mod is because its namelists (I love to use both the Altmer and Dunmer namelists) and citysets. But I hate the shipsets and the fact that the elves in that mod need to have a "Elven" Trait that makes them effectively immortal.
Now, if I use this mod together with the "Elves in Uniforms" ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2762388607 ), the "Lord of Rigel: Yalkai Shipset" ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2990498720 ) and the "Solarpunk" ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948247851 ) mods, I can replace it. It will be boring do not be able to use the Altmer or the Dunmer namelists, but I prefer that than using a mod from which I use only a few elements.

Would you consider making a name list for me? I have attempted to put together the list in the format of an existing namelist, but something I am doing is incorrect.

Any chance on expanding on more name lists for other species? Maybe like the Dark Eldar or Drukhiri, Imperium of Man?

@Spectre I think I may have found a solution to the issue I described below, but it's kinda roundabout. If you're on the Stellaris Modding Den Discord, reach out to me, and I can share what I did.

Sequential names for things like Armies aren't working all that well. I'll get like "0%0 <Name>" and then it'll just go to like "<Planet Name> Army #".

@AlteredBeast It's because some designs are used at the start of the game by those entities you cannot edit. Like science vessels, builders or mines. There is nothing I can do about it as it is done by Paradox. I know what you are talking about - and I hate it too.

hey there. just got this mod and i think something is off. in ship designs you normally can override an auto design that goes by the same name. now a red text pops up if you hover over the grayed out save button that says that the name is already in use for a design of another ship size. in other words, if i want to change my ship design i can't use your ship-class names anymore ;(
any idea?

Even if I abandon this mod (don't worry, I'm not going to) it will always work anyway. This mod is too simple to not work.

@FortuneHost Oh, you didn't understand me. I didn't mean "some" name generator. I meant a ship name generator based on the original Eldar words taken from eg Black Library. It distinguishes this mod from others.

If you need a name generator then I've got one on hand right now and bet I can find more with some quick searching. If you play Dungeons & Dragons or like to invent languages, guilty on both counts, they're incredibly useful to have in your toolbox. Lately I've been using the Markov Name Generator [donjon.bin.sh] to build namelists for some original species I wrote a few years back.

How it works is that you enter a selection of words in the top square/box and it spits out 10 results at a time in the second box, calculated from your input. Everything from which characters are used, how often, where they're positioned in a word, what combinations relative to other letters, as well as how long each word is, based on the variety of length in the sample size.

The more words you give it, the more varied and fitting the output will be, so don't be afraid to put in every name in the Eldar codex in there if you want (or even your entire namelist.)

@FortuneHost The idea for the mod came from the fact that I accidentally found a page that allows you to generate the names of ships for Battlefleet Gothic based on about a few hundred Eldar words. I've always had a problem with mods not having enough names for ships, so I generated several thousand names and formatted them for Stellaris. That's how this mod came about. Unfortunately, the site is already inactive, so I am not able to expand this mod anymore.

As for your question, you shouldn't have a problem finding this image on Google. I don't remember where I got this graphic from.

Also, do you have a "clean" version of the Eldar in the mod thumbnail? I'll second the assertion that it'd make an excellent species/leader picture (even though we both know that Howling Banshees are a military unit, not part of a governing body... unless you count former Banshees in the form of Autarchs.)

Cool idea for a mod! I've been a fan of Rick Priestly's worlds of Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000* since I was very young, so I can't wait to try it out!
