This was a great mod in concept, maybe someone can rewrite it in the new Harmony.
Would it be possible to separate change of ground from change of trees? Because that might be a solution, to let only trees and bushes change the colors, but not the ground.
Actually, having a periodical Four Seasons DLC that requires first having Snowfall would be a fun challenge for me. I have personally analyzed how this mechanic would work. For one thing, I anticipate more demand for educational and utility services in winter and more agricultural and tourism profits in the summer. This would mean that winter would be intense on your budget, save it be December with Christmas cutting down on services and maximizing timber industry and tourism budget, especially in contrast to the much more profitable Summer.
I currently use Climate Control with Theme Mixer to switch winter/snow on when using non-winter map, but it would be good if I could use this instead of Theme Mixer so it happens automatically.
I looked at the source code but couldn't get it to compile let alone make any changes.
In Temperate cities, I applied Spring, Summer, Autumn, and even illusionary Winter themes (for I don't have Snowfall) which actually look really good with this mod.
However, I turn it off when I switch to tropical, but the four themes I use for such cities, being Savannah for Spring, Middle Eastern Dunes for Summer, Rocky Mountain Desert for Autumn, and Exotic Jungle for Winter still look really good. I'd pick Exotic Jungle for Winter because in the tropics, winter is called rainy or wet season.

there's your link. notice the odd ground texture in the mod on image
this mod looks better than it did before, but it has a long road to perfection. I'm exited for that day.
But when I tested the mod, it caused a problem (not unacceptable): during the winter, a phenomenon of parcelling appears on the grass texture.
I think the mod doesn't take into account the "diffuse tiling" settings of the map theme (in my case Realistic V1.4.5 European ).
@toreaaboe: this only affects foliage, so the trees should see their leaves drop, but you won't see snow or anything (you can use climate control however, to make it "snow" instead of rain when the temperature is low. you still won't see accumulation)
@freedom1: not sure what you mean. screenshot?
Just wonder if it have any purpose to use this in a tropical setting. Will it change seasons if tropical?
I subscribed to this mod,
loaded my savegame and found that all my settings for "Building Themes" http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=466158459 were lost.
I quit to desktop from the savegame,
created a output_log posted here: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/3ace89c6ae5a65d7dad9d1b3711db752 ,
unsubscribed from "Dynamic Foliage",
started the game,
loaded the same savegame and still all "Building Themes" settings were lost.
I quit to desktop from the savegame,
started the game,
loaded the backup I had of savegame and the savegame loaded with all "Building Themes" settings intact.
I don't have Natural Disasters yet, but when I get it, I'll also look at how the burn shaders might enhance the effect.
