Hey are you gonna update this mod to the newest version, cause i really wanna play it but i cant. :C

Thanks, I intend to do so - but atm. have no idea where to look for the remaining problem - plus I have mostly looked into 1.9 since my last post, and thus paused my 2.1-work ...

But I definitely do intend to continue it soon - though that may be some weeks from now, sorry.


If somebody has an idea or hint why the ships' meshes aren't showing up ( their portrait-pics however do so, strangely ) , that would be helpful... :)

I already started trying to make this mod compatible with 2.1, but it's far from complete...

Making reactors and sensors selectable is done, but I don't yet really get why it doesn't show shipmodels... So I've got some invisible adv. destroyers flying around, which don't really fight since they'd need turret-models at least for that :/ .


Any hint at which files I'd need to look to fix this ?


Btw. - the mod really seems interesting, so thanks for making it :) .

After some deliberation, I've decided to officially retire this fully. It's Legacy only, for 1.6.

I will be creating a new version of the mod which is suitable for 2.1.+

Would be nice to know if this is still alive cuz I would love to use it in my new 2.0.5 palythrough, because unlike most ship class mods this one jsut adds a couple extra versions to existing classes and nothing but.

I have n issue with the new ship-classes: I am not able to save new ship-designs. it says SHIPDESIGNER_SAVEFAIL_WRONG_REQUIRED_COMPONENTS and there is really an empty slot at the right side which i am not able to equip with anything... Do you know what could cause this problem?

@crewsroger968 - it was never truly updated for 1.8 or 1.9, to be honest. It's going to be a bit before 2.0.

I don't know why, but this mod deactivate the spawning of debris after a battle in my game. The mod is really cool, so is there any chance in fixing this?

It will, after Cherryh. Frankly they're reworking everything about ships so much that I just don't see any point in updating it for the current build.

I don't know if it was intentional, but it was not in the mod list with the other Stellar Expansions. I had to follow the link in the descriptions of the mods.

Since your having to rewrite parts of the mod, is a possibilty to keep the Realistic Ships and New Ship Classes mod in mind?

If I understood what your doing, your just adding in sections and ship classes which means there shouldnt be a conflict correct?

With the NSC/RS Compatabilty patch, the NSC ships are more offensive and the RS ships more Defensive in nature and I just want to be able ot play with all the ship types that you and thye offer.

I apologize if this has already been answered, I missed it if that is the case.

This mod will be getting a full rewrite due to all the changes that came with 1.8. It'll be a while, and will be totally different than what it is now.

The bug I'm running into is that there arn't any choices for an FTL, thus preventing the uses of the ships in game.

To whoever experiences the bug with empty named ships which cannot be deleted - it plagues all mods that add new ship classes but do not add them to the name lists. The only solution is to go to all namelists and add custom names to the added ship classes.

@Alexanderyou I have the issue with and without the naked corvette prevention mode, and Cybraxkhan's namelist. I've had the issue on Plantoid ships, but not Arthropod ships. Could it be because of the ship type (and/or the plantoid names?)
