jpinard 20 Nov, 2017 @ 10:53am
Does this work with b18?
VTitanV 21 Jul, 2017 @ 7:22am
This mod has been updated but he created it as a new mod rather than updating it here. Search JTReplaceWalls [A17]

Not sure why he did it like that but there you go.
cabmoomoo 15 Jun, 2017 @ 7:57am
Until the main developer updates, a person had done a quick compatibility update for A17.
http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=936562361
They have said this will be removed once the main developer updates it themselves.
Scottishtroop 15 Jun, 2017 @ 4:01am
Update plz
sakraf 25 May, 2017 @ 3:27am

Does this mod work in A 16?
Fuglypump 24 Jan, 2017 @ 6:57am
Could you please support this mod? http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=72762878 Currently the wall lights don't get replaced.
Uethar 21 Jan, 2017 @ 8:41am
Best mod everrrrr
Iust 16 Jan, 2017 @ 11:37am
Yesterday I was wondering why you couldn't replace walls in vanilla. Today I found this. Blessings of the great spaghetti monster upon you.
Ranlin 15 Jan, 2017 @ 9:04am
top smart mod
geodeath 2 Jan, 2017 @ 10:48am
I get no building ghosts with this mod. I uninstalled it and the problem did not occur.

This is one of the most convenient QOL mods here. Thanks for this!
Touchable  [author] 22 Dec, 2016 @ 3:44am
The issue with colonists building themselves in is a vanilla problem. To fix it will require me to change code that I'm not currently changing in this mod, this and the fact that I don't play RimWorld means I don't really have the motivation to do it.
Wesir 21 Dec, 2016 @ 11:39am
Thanks for the mod, huge time saver!

I did have one suggestion after running into an issue, If you have a cross section or T shaped wall similar to this and you try to replace it:
▢▣▢
▣▣▣
▢▣▢
or
▩▩▩
▣▣▣
▢▣▢

Sometimes builders will stand in the center and then block themselves in, which depending on how much you're paying attention could lead to being down a person or them starving to death.

▢▣▢
▣▲▣
▢▣▢

One possible fix would be to prioritize interior blocks first and spiral outward, but that could be a huge pain to have to code and resource intensive. Figured I'd throw the suggestion out there.

Yea, I decided to make the A16 version seperate so those who are still playing A15 won't be disturbed.

Will this get an A16 update?
Touchable  [author] 15 Dec, 2016 @ 2:35am
The problem with replacing immediately is that the colonist will be going back and forth from the site to the resource they need, since in vanilla they do not prepare beforehand (get enough resources and hold onto it).
The way replacing walls is handled at the moment is that deconstructing is skipped (with resources refunded like it wasn't skipped - this is vanilla behaviour of how doors replace walls) and a frame of the new wall replaces it. The frame has some properties of a wall, such as seperating temperature so a fridge wall being replaced won't increase in temperature. Pawns also don't walk through frames, so I wouldn't say that the wall being replaced loses it's function when it hasn't been fully built.
Sam 14 Dec, 2016 @ 11:16am
I really like the idea of this mod, but replacing large amounts of walls breaks structures due to the way it's handled. If you can set it so the colonists replace the wall immedietely after destroying it, it would work perfectly. But as it stands now, they will work to destroy ALL of the walls before rebuilding the new wall, regardless of how Work priority is set.

Anyway, Thank you so much for the mods! *High Five*
Ain't Nobody Like A Somebody 11 Dec, 2016 @ 6:00am
Thank you, a SUPER helpful mod for cave bases :D
Touchable  [author] 11 Dec, 2016 @ 5:54am
You can use an old Alpha 15 save.
Ain't Nobody Like A Somebody 11 Dec, 2016 @ 5:53am
Do i have to create a new save or can I use on a old save?
TheHydraulicAmor 10 Dec, 2016 @ 5:28am
Hi , sorry it's Misc stuff by Telkir I got mix up
Touchable  [author] 10 Dec, 2016 @ 4:05am
Who is the creator of Misc Objects? I can only find Misc. Objects by Haplo but that doesn't seem to be it.
TheHydraulicAmor 9 Dec, 2016 @ 1:18pm
hi, nice mod, is it possible to make this compatible with the Misc Objects mod, they have a new steel wall and this mod doesn't work with that one.
Tumuel 30 Nov, 2016 @ 10:40am
I tried it out, seems to work flawlessly, great mod.
Touchable  [author] 30 Nov, 2016 @ 5:58am
It should play nicely since the major part of this mod is just allowing blueprints to be placed over walls, the replacing part is handled by the vanilla behaviour of doors replacing walls. I've never used RedistHeat ductwork though, so idk.
Tumuel 30 Nov, 2016 @ 2:58am
Does it play nicely with stuff like RedistHeat ductwork, and more importantly the things that stick on the walls themselves?
Synaptic Wanderer 27 Nov, 2016 @ 9:32am
oh I want to do dirty, dirty things with this mod, looking forward to taking it for a blast....
scritchscratch 26 Nov, 2016 @ 1:42pm
Yis.
Baker's Bread 23 Nov, 2016 @ 11:49am
THANK JESUS
Malminas 22 Nov, 2016 @ 6:35pm
YAY! thank you! :D
Malminas 20 Nov, 2016 @ 4:44pm
Can you add support for the concrete walls mod?
Touchable  [author] 15 Nov, 2016 @ 2:58am
This version (1.6) should be compatible with linux now. I tested it on ubuntu with core and this mod only, on a new save. When I tried to test with my heavily modded save, RimWorld crashes to desktop when I select a wall, though it might be because of another mod because of my previous statement.
thisischrys 13 Nov, 2016 @ 1:26pm
Any chance of putting the version that works on Linux on steam?
Or if help is needed fixing it, let me know.
Julian Skies 5 Nov, 2016 @ 10:34am
Finally, finally realized what was going on.
Since I was using the realistic lighting mod I was literally not seeing clearly where I was trying to install the cooler. It was not a constructed wall, it was natural rock. And it will give that message if you try to install it on natural rock rather than set the rock to be mined and then make the install job.
Which I believe is also vanilla behaviour.
So yeah, nothing is a problem here.
jacobellinger 4 Nov, 2016 @ 9:46pm
this mod is one of my faves, I think that it's something that should be in the game anyways. Thanks so much. :steamhappy:
AxiomUnbroken 4 Nov, 2016 @ 5:58pm
Just a tought, could be the order your loading them, try setting this mod first on the list.
Julian Skies 3 Nov, 2016 @ 2:42pm
Also I am really sorry, Touchable. I seem to not... Have the bug anymore?
I can't tell you what I did weirdly the first time

Touchable  [author] 2 Nov, 2016 @ 1:45am
I've installed Colony Manager by Fluffy, QualityBuilder by Hatti, Hand Me That Brick and Refracted Work Priorities by Dingo, but still cannot reproduce the problem. Perhaps give me the save file where the problem occured; probably best on forums, idk if steam allows posting URLs in comments.
Julian Skies 1 Nov, 2016 @ 7:54pm
Got a real tiny mod list. Lessee, what do I got that changes constructing... Colony Manager I guess? Quality Constructing, Hand Me That Brick, Refactored Work Priorities and that should be it.
Touchable  [author] 31 Oct, 2016 @ 7:21pm
I have tried installing a new cooler and reinstalling an uninstalled cooler and they all automatically remove the wall. Are you using another mod that modifies constructing? I can look to see if the combination of mods cause this.
Julian Skies 31 Oct, 2016 @ 4:10pm
Hey, mister, I noticed an... Unusual behaviour.
I think it is this mod that is causing installing coolers to require to deconstruct the wall manually first before installing the cooler. Which is different from the vanilla behaviour.
comment on my profile 31 Oct, 2016 @ 9:53am
It works fine with JTReplaceWalls_NoStuff, thanks. By the way, you could always try to run a virtual machine or use a live ISO to run linux off a flash drive instead of installing it directly. Regardless, I would be happy to help fix the problem if you need someone to help test.
Touchable  [author] 31 Oct, 2016 @ 2:08am
Try using JTReplaceWalls_NoStuff which is available from Onedrive, link is on the ludeon forums (link above). I hope to resolve it, but I haven't gotten around to installing Linux to test things.
comment on my profile 30 Oct, 2016 @ 11:38pm
Same issues as the others on Linux (64 bit). The game crashes when selecting the wall's material, but runs perfectly fine elsewhere. Tested with and without other mods.
