I thought this one might be Sonic-inspired! I also think there's a way to create a live text counter in one of the corners. I've seen it done before.

Anyway, yet another interesting concept....though to be frank I hope it doesn't appear in your next Batcature map unless it's skippable (like that one part in Aperture Tag).

Enjoyd it, I'l say the only idea I can add on for this is a light-indicater on the spikes "Unless I missed it" that shows its about to change, had it change mid pass on me a couple times lol. can see this being a good addition, I had an Idea of adding something like t his to Subject X but now I feel I shouldn't :(, jk :) I'll probaly do something sim- to this so it dons't effect your maps :)

Strong proof of concept, I had a pretty good time with it. I usually have the reflexes of an anemic sloth, so the chamber's designed well enough that even after observing several times that the glowy blue spikes are probably not very friendly, I was able to collect all the rings. I'm not sure how much mileage you'd be able to get out the concept itself, as it doesn't quite gel (badum tiss) with portal's more cerebral challenges. I could see the physics work well if you had to escape through an especially large air vent. Overall, good stuff though! Here's a few stray observations.

1. A counter at the bottom of the screen would be nice, gives you an indication of how many rings you have.

2. You know what'd be cool in this enviroment? A vertical drop, that would be fun.

3. Maybe have some audio cue when new blue spikes pop up? That got me a few times.

meh... lateral movement seems entirely too sluggish..5 tries and I still cant get aligned on the gell to miss the spikes.. great concept... :-)
