Sorry to dissapoint, but it's made of brushes. Old trick I learned from Advanced Test Chamber 16 of the original Portal. It's not hard to create, though. It's just a white "plastic" texture, a rim texture around the edges, and a metal grate texture. :p2orange:

Is this cage in the turret is a brush or is it a sdk prop? , Please tell me his name if it's a prop

Turrets add nothing to the test except stress but otherwise an OK monoportal chamber.

Excellent test. Been a while since I've played a Portal 1 elements based map that I didn't find boring. Kudos for your well thought-out work.

This map is almost as good as the others in your Secondary Fire series.

Nice trilogy, done them all. One problem, simple. Nice!
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:50
nah it's cool. I don't mind. :)
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:48
Ah I understand. Sorry for asking so many questions!
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:44
It's a clan tag.
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:35
Hm... I remember asking you why your user name was what it its, but I still don't understand the ≠SG-1≠ part. Why is that?
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:33
idk
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:33
But why is ReepBlue so obsessed with the color blue? (Don't get me wrong I like his custom visual styles a lot and my favorite color is blue too!)
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:31
lol
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:30
I wonder if ReepBlue obsession to the color blue has anything to do with the name Blue Portals... nah that's not likely! :)
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 19:18
Of course he does! :D As for the making of the mod I really only know two people involved. Colossal made all the textures for the mod and Reepblue did the mapping and I believe he did some of the coding. I don't know the exact back story of it though so more people are probably involved that I don't know of.
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 18:35
Holy crap that really sucks! Taken away of such a great free prize because "Not enough people entered", and you had to buy the game with your own money! ReepBlue does at least acknowledge you as an important person when it comes to making Hammer Editor based tests right?

As a side note what is the exact story of the making of Blue Portals? Who are all the people and etc.?
Manifest Breastiny 22. juli 2012 kl. 10:37
ok, will try that. Thanks!
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 10:23
You need to set up a trigger_weaponstrip to get rid of the dual portal device.
Manifest Breastiny 22. juli 2012 kl. 10:21
Whenever I try and make a map with a portal spawner, why do I spawn with the dual portal device? I want to spawn with the single portal device.

P.S I don't blame the creators of Blue Portals for the outcome of the contest, just the host of the contest. Blue Portals is an excellent mod with an excellent group of people on it's team.
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2012 kl. 0:33
The prize for the contest was Portal 2 (This map was originally a Portal 1 map) Since only two people entered the contest the contest's host basically said, "No, there weren't enough participants therefore you, as the winner, will NOT recieve Portal 2, tough luck." Which is bull because a contest is a contest despite how many people enter it at all, and seeing as how it was my first real map for anything it took me more than half the contest time just simply learning how to use Hammer properly.Which pissed me off to no end to see all my hard work get thrown straight down the crapper. I'm ranting now, and to me it's all just a bad memory that I'd like to forget.
Ciirulean 22. juli 2012 kl. 0:27
Okay, I know you need the Hammer World Editor to make it, I've been watching several tutorials about it and taken notes, as the only reason I do not own it at the moment is because of the lack of data on this computer. I will get it soon though. What was that prize that you were cheated out of anyway?
Rubycario  [ophavsmand] 17. juli 2012 kl. 17:44
No, I am not one of the people who worked on the mod. I did however enter a contest for it and won, got cheated out of the prize, but won. Also the Orange Portal Device can't really be thrwon together so simply, well it's simple but it can't be used in PeTI and you'd need to set up a few things to get it to work right. I'll think about posting a link to it, thanks for the feedback! :D
Ciirulean 17. juli 2012 kl. 13:57
Ah yes! I've seen your walk-through of Blue Portals. So then are you and ReepBlue the main people who worked on the BP project? Also could you post a download link to that Orange Portal Gun? I've been trying to collect a bunch of entities for a Map Pack I'm working on.

Wind Owl 10. juni 2012 kl. 18:36
Great map set, hope you make more of these.
ArgleBargle 10. juni 2012 kl. 12:32
Very nicely done. I'll try the others now.
Stratos 9. juni 2012 kl. 9:21
This one was a little bit easier than the last two, thereby not really fitting in difficulty, but the style is still amazing, I'm glad to see a continuation there.
Portalized 9. juni 2012 kl. 5:51
Not a bad puzzle - a little tedious. Thanks for making!
[Hullzor] 5. juni 2012 kl. 6:20
So amazing :D Good reminder from the portal 1: I felt so handicapped with just one portalgun.. thought too much, yet its so simple map. hahaa :D awesome map.
