Nice and easy map, fun to go throught. Thanks.
saverio.caminiti 28. apr. 2016 kl. 0:25
I was able to solve it without the staris that raise when you place the cube in its spot. It is a pretty hard version.
wildgoosespeeder 9. aug. 2014 kl. 20:24
Seeing how this was exported from the in-game editor to Hammer for slight retextures and music changes, why didn't you just manually manipulate the antlines? Otherwise an OK test.
Petutski 6. maj 2014 kl. 15:44
Well, for us mortals this was a very enjoyable map! Thanks!

Meh, I really expecred something more from this.
First, short time mechanics should be avoided when possible.
Then, in the second part falling in the hole is very frustrating while the test is extremely easy.
You could force the player to repeat the 1st part to get the light bridge out of the 1st chamber to arrive to the door instead of just put another light bridge there...
Another thing, why on earth this is classified as custom story and custom visual when it's just a normal editor chamber not even designed very well?
Bash 23. maj 2013 kl. 9:14
Way too easy: First part with getting the first cube out was fun enough, but the second part was way too easy, way too much running, and you could waste time trying to get out of the hole as well.

Some constructive criticism:
- Put the 2nd part closer: No need to run that far through a corridor (or add a catapult transport)
- Make sure there's an easier way to escape the hole if you fall down there with no portals up.
- Make the 2nd part harder, or at least with more puzzles.
- Make the finish a bit more complicated as well.

Rather too easy.

shitassm: eh, and how about shooting portals into that place between fizzlers and to other room? Of course it's hard to do it without using portals.
blinkpen 16. juni 2012 kl. 21:57
good job but the timer one that one part is way too fast. i cannot get the block through in time no matter how many tries i take. its physically impossible.
Dom44  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2012 kl. 16:05
cave jhonson and Shane: aha, well I published these maps via Portal 2 Publishing Tool where you can add your own image
Michael Hunt 16. juni 2012 kl. 15:34
Good job! Try some of mine.
Mike Oxlong 16. juni 2012 kl. 14:45
I think he's asking how you got it to show a custom picture rather than the blueprint screenshot it shows for maps made in the PTI editor
Dom44  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2012 kl. 14:11
cave jhonson: wait what map diagram? Didn't get what you mean
Mike Oxlong 16. juni 2012 kl. 12:19
Not massively hard, but well designed
Chet Fil A 15. juni 2012 kl. 19:11
Hey,How do you get a picture instead of the map diagram?
Hanako 15. juni 2012 kl. 17:54
Not bad, I did a bit of a "ninja solution" by repositioning one of the redirecting cubes, wound up not using the storage cube at all.
Majicman444 11. juni 2012 kl. 19:40
nice map not too hard but enjoyable

mood3rd 11. juni 2012 kl. 12:41
great
you have nailed portal 2's difficulty level
not to easy or to difficult
just right
good challenges
also good lenth,
not giant map or to many challenges.
or to small a map with 1 challenge &
finished in seconds.
perfect.
exadab 10. juni 2012 kl. 22:26
Just the right amount of a mixture of a lot of thought with a bit of timing thrown in. Very worthy addition to the talents that make up Portal.
Benj34 10. juni 2012 kl. 21:36
they did not settle for lemons, they made life take them back so that they could create a portal 2 level that needs some skill, but is still possible enough! good level!
Nern Guan 10. juni 2012 kl. 19:44
Really good! Challenging enough yet not too challenging that I raged!
Peckanz 10. juni 2012 kl. 19:41
Really liked this map. Made me think and wasn't too difficult, can't wait to play the rest.
Maxjk0 10. juni 2012 kl. 19:32
fun,i thought the timing part with the emancipation grid would be frustrating, but it turned out i got it on my second try
Spaghetti n Goofballs 10. juni 2012 kl. 19:23
This was great.
I loved the thought process envolved, and how it wasn't too difficult or too hard. Great job!

hard to figure out , but easy at the same time
subs 10. juni 2012 kl. 15:41
I really liked the first part even though i got it really fast, but the second part seemed like an over used inertia puzzle. Overall good.
subs 10. juni 2012 kl. 15:31
Caught my eye I'll give it a go and come back with my opinion :)
vibratronica 10. juni 2012 kl. 14:32
that was kinda difficult..good job liked it
The Mullac 10. juni 2012 kl. 12:52
Simply brilliant. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=76202588 is The Tower Of Simple Tests. I can find it frustrating sometimes, even though I made it! I hope you like it.
Dom44  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2012 kl. 12:15
And I really have to keep it like this because if I would put to each chamber different image, in the workshop many people wouldn't recognize that the maps are in common, that it's a mappack. Also I think that is better to expect challenge and for the start get something easier, and after that challenge. People who would expect some easy tests would be badly surprised and maybe disappointed if they would get challenge. That's why I think it's better to have screen, or screens displaying something challenging.
As I already mentioned only someone will create this image that it's challenging, most of the people can take it just how it is: some tests of various difficulty, just some kind of lore of aperture; that's how this is meant. Anyway I really think it doesn't matter because whichever your image will be, you'll get it. So I really think it's okay.
Dom44  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2012 kl. 12:07
Those who imagine some easy or intermediate difficulty tests, they will get it, only difference is where will they get it. So I really think that it depends what image will every single person create about this. But as I said whatever will they imagine, they will get it, only difference is where they get it. So because of this I think it isn't neccessary to edit it.
Dom44  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2012 kl. 12:03
japetersen: ok sorry maybe I was a bit rude, but you know that's what I said - sometimes screenshot and name suggests that it will be hard, it will be challenging, it requires experience etc., but name of this mappack, as I said, isn't meant like this. It's meant that it's just a few tests of various difficulty, some start, some ending. Furthermore, this chamber is easy I know it, but next are harder.
You're right about that the image together with name creates some feeling that this is gonna be challenging, but only for someone. I decided to make only one "double screen" for all of these maps, because here on workshop it's better for people because they see it's a same thing. I know that if they see this, they expect some challenge already at the start. But the challenge will come, just later. So they will see what they expected. Of course not everybody will imagine under this that it's challenging.
Mr.Pumblesnook 10. juni 2012 kl. 11:45
I agree with japetersen: more challenge please!!!
japetersen 10. juni 2012 kl. 10:47
LOL, I guess you are a bit sensitive... I certainly did put thought to my comment...(fact) The image you provide for the chamber is not from this chamber. As for the name I guess in my opinion it suggests an experience to be remembered and perhaps passed on to others...neither of which was the case for me. Regarding my suggetion to add elemnts that provide a challenge...just something I think most test subjects enjoy.
