Nice mod. I've made lots of runs with this mod installed. I makes the game look really modern with the other mods of the collection. But the only down I can see is the no alarm and full reflective windows of this one. Not only we can get into a horde because of alarms. But they kind of contrast with your other car mods. But overall it's nice and makes the game look more in a 2000 apocalypse. :steamthumbsup:

as much as i like this i can no longer distinguish alarm car. Should have glow lights to imply that it's on. Congrats on the hatchback model though.
I'm on my journey to modernize the look of l4d replacing 90s-2000s look items like old cars to current ones as if it's a post-pandemic apocalypse.

@RWBY the Halo 2 Uberchassis. just got to redo the normal maps for that one. but I don't think it'll look good in L4D2 regardless because it's 2004 era texture quality.

I have the night vision scope for military rifle but it also carries to the hunting rifle, and the dmr scope for the hunting rifle also carries to the military rifle, doesn't matter to which mod i subscribe first, it always replaces both military and hunting rifle scope

@Conscript Vladimir the sunken car is one of two police_car_rural models. I remove that one, I remove all the police car models that replace the rural police cars in l4D and L4D2.

Are taxis included or will be a separate mod? Either way, you got hang of these model replacements. Wish you can branch out to Dead Space, though.

@The Stoned Meerkat ok. did some further searching and turns out it's the cubemaps in the .vmt. I deleted it for testing and it removed the glossy/ speculative texture.

@The Stoned Meerkat as for the textue issues. it seems more likely that is just the game's light working on its bump maps (this the shine in the metallic textures), as for texture issues themselves. it's very hard to tell since it seems like your game is using some sort of color correction mod.

@The Stoned Meerkat the conflicts are mostly because the vehicles each share a base texture with each other in the .vmt I'm working on a way to go around that so they can work. But in game no harm seems to come of it. Though I do plan to just compile them together into one large .vpk to solve that.

my only other concern is dealing with the RNG, the game makes all the Genet cars differentlycolored, however it changes the color of the entire car rather than where the texture is white to allow it. so I'm looking into that. this might take a while since this is the first time I done model replacing myself.

@Conscript Vladmir (8.-19. Vac.) I'm working on that. Issue is the max number of memory per .vpk. So the taxis and the police cars will be a separate mod.
