I cant wait for the 42 barreled cannon. maybe ill have something that can be the main gun on my Gott finally. (it's something so big it litteraly crashes the game 90% of the time on spawning)

i am working on a 42 barreled cannon right now, it should be out in less than a month, it will be the same dimensions but much heavier;) you can try to fir that one in later

Well, she can fit, if just barely. I'd have to remove two meters of armor from my ship, and make her hull a bit deeper, but I'd be able to mount this bad boy on my ship. She sure as hell doesn't like it though. Had to set the mass to as little as possible for her to keep floating.

It would still shoot even without detection equipment. Not shooting is an error with the cannons ammo. Put a bunch of ammo barrels down, crams sometimes don't shoot (mainly in MP) when there isn't an ammo supply to refil it's ammo

Your only chance of getting it to have any velocity is with the skill points for the cannon skill. It goes up to something like 247m/s. (Although standard barrels no longer increase speed so it could be lower)

That is still very slow for a minigun because you need 26 barrels. And that barely goes above 3k rpm. (which the game locks at about 3000-3500 anyway). I've had a cannon with 6 barrels and had each barrel able to shoot at 3k rpm

1 shot every 0.5 seconds is not over 3k rpm. That is incredibly low for what I've done with minigun cannons
