funny ... for me was se first chamber under a Minute (maybe 30 Seconds) ... but this is only if you set the Portals in the first try at the right place :-)
THX fun to play !
SpielSatzFail 14. aug. 2021 kl. 14:26
The problem with laser maps is that the creator might have a simple solution in mind, but as long as the player does not see the crucial portal surfaces it can become hard ^^
So I agree Sagflaps, the second chamber was easier than the first. That's because in the second one you can better see the idea behind the puzzle ;-)
Tidus 25. sep. 2019 kl. 16:32
THX, very nice.
bullfrog 27. apr. 2018 kl. 0:38
Nice one. The first room I found harder, but it's actually easy, once you see the solution!
DarkCloud 20. dec. 2017 kl. 3:44
Thanks for the chamber. Found a different solution for the fist part. It hardly works but could "explain" how the chamber worked before it decayed. Solution.
Hellraiser 4. aug. 2016 kl. 14:25
Pretty easy but still enjoyable.

Well thought and fun map. Nice work with details
automorphism111 21. okt. 2015 kl. 19:01
Suprisingly, the first part of the chamber took me longer than the second.
Andi 19. sep. 2015 kl. 11:02
Great chamber, thumbs up.

Petutski 22. sep. 2014 kl. 19:32
Nicely done! Good brain exercise!
vioray 26. juli 2014 kl. 16:26
very nice, requires quite a bit of thinking and planning
InfinityPlus05 (She/They) 24. maj 2014 kl. 6:14
Hey, did anyone notice that easter egg in the secend room? =^D
(It was a corrupt android hell core stuck in the wall!)
neco 19. maj 2014 kl. 10:22
Great! I remember to already have played that before......thumbs up! Splendid visuals btw.- loved it.
Now let's see if I can cope with the advanced version....
Ale 29. apr. 2014 kl. 6:19
Very good chamber, thank you! The design is brilliant and the cubes/lasers dynamic works well, simple but not simplistic. Going straight to test the advanced version!
Singh 21. mar. 2014 kl. 18:33
I like this one a little less than some of your others only because of the 2nd room. That said it's still a good solid fun map.

It's just a bit hard to register how stopping the laser or conversely starting it effects other things in the room. This is due to line of sight issues.

awesome! super hard! really makes you use both lasers and portals together!
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2013 kl. 7:18
That's exactly what I want out of a puzzle, so I take that as a compliment. :D
jam.lab1 17. aug. 2013 kl. 7:31
Good, had me thinking.
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2013 kl. 18:35
Thanks for the feedback folks. ^.^ Cogitation, I forgot what you were talking about, but then I remembered the first room. Yeah, not that proud of that anymore. Laser relay puzzles aren't the cream of the crop, so to speak. Hope you can forgive me. :P

@wildgoosespeeder: I'm not sure what music I used anymore. Never noticed the distraction myself, unless of course you found the easter egg.
Cogitation 17. apr. 2013 kl. 12:46
This is a good map, though it does rely on placing a portal on a wall segment that has fallen out of place, which at first glance doesn't look like it's intended.
wildgoosespeeder 4. apr. 2013 kl. 12:43
The decayed look and the up-beat sounds do not match this map. It felt very distracting.
LPChip 7. feb. 2013 kl. 6:13
This is a good map. Challenges are not that hard and can be solved by reasoning and carefully watching what's available. :) I love the mechanics in this map too.
mikemoody 4. feb. 2013 kl. 14:51
Thanks for a great challenge. I really enjoyed it... Thumbs up!!!!!!!!
GraveNoX 31. jan. 2013 kl. 17:23
Don't know how I solve it but I did it.
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2012 kl. 6:13
Thanks! I see you're trying more of my maps. :D
NightHawk8P 26. aug. 2012 kl. 18:34
Nice map =)
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2012 kl. 5:44
@MCA: Yes, that is the easter egg, but it's only the beginning.
Conundrum 24. aug. 2012 kl. 23:51
Do you mean the moving red thing? Nice job on map!
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2012 kl. 12:28
Yay, good job! ;)
LiquidWater 13. aug. 2012 kl. 12:16
i found your easter egg ^_^

for those who havent found it, pay attention in the 2nd room
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2012 kl. 7:00
@ModFire: Hahah, yeah, I know what you mean. ^^
@m-trex: That is a very strange bug. :O I don't get exactly what you mean but I have not heard of that before. Maybe you discovered some unintended solution.
m-trex 1. aug. 2012 kl. 19:06
Something went wrong in chamber 2, I didn't had to do anything with the triagle-laser, it disappeared with every onedot-stuff. I solved chamber 2 very quick.
ModFire 1. aug. 2012 kl. 18:35
Great Job! Lasers!! Agggggh! some many ways to point them!

(continuing the above post)
I'm happy to hear you liked that cubedropper, it's actually one of my first design choises that steered me to my current mapping designs. :)
Good call on the playerclip, I didn't notice it was irritating myself, but a smooth ramp would help, yeah. And about the door frames... I'd lie and say I did that on purpose but to be honest I was just way worse in mapping back then, IMO. I made my own door frames where the default 32 units are a lot better. :P

I'd like to think I'll make the time to update this map once in the future, but to be completely honest I probably never will...

Thanks a lot for the precise feedback, BEARD!... ! :D

You're right about the first chamber, though while I don't want to use this as an excuse, that was one of my first puzzles in Portal 2 - ever. I just wanted to make a laser relay puzzle which I haven't done since for very specific reasons.
I'm glad you liked the second chamber, I agree it is the better one of the two. I'm happy to hear you liked that cubedropper, it's actually one of my first design choises that steered me to my current mapping designs. :)

In the first chamber, I wasn't convinced that a solution existed before the chamber was destroyed. If it wasn't for that conveniently-angled panel, there' wouldn't be a way to redirect the laser with portals and complete the circuit. Otherwise it was a straightforward puzzle.

Second chamber was much more interesting, both visually and puzzle-wise. I liked the use of the elevator prop inside the chamber, I don't think I've seen that one before. It might have been worth placing a playerclip over the pyramid of steps, so that the player didn't 'judder' upwards. I wasn't sure what the laser emitted indicated with the triangle did.

I noticed that your door frames' spikes were visible - was this a deliberate part of the destroyed look?
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2012 kl. 6:24
Don't be dissapointed if you fail, you wouldn't be the first. Tell me (on that map's thread) how it works out for ya'. ;)
UnableRogue 31. juli 2012 kl. 5:10
Grrrr. Looks like I'm gonna have to conquer that last map. *grits teeth*
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2012 kl. 3:34
He already finished all my maps! >:~D
UnableRogue 30. juli 2012 kl. 15:18
Don't do it @SHEG He's luring you into a trap D:
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 30. juli 2012 kl. 9:53
This one? Hah, you should try the advanced version. >:P
SHEG 30. juli 2012 kl. 8:49
tricky :>
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2012 kl. 7:21
Haha thanks. ^^ (Though the sleep thing confused me for a second, it's afternoon where I live. :P )
UnableRogue 19. juli 2012 kl. 7:16
That map is diabolical. I was jumping from the start and as soon as I entered the first test I ran straight back out of the room. (You know why) THEN getting the exit door open with the secret outer door is the last straw. I need to sleep before tackling that final laser test. You are an evil, evil map maker. You'll make Glados proud.
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2012 kl. 6:17
Oh, I probably will. That one is pretty hard for most people. Sorry, in advance. :P
UnableRogue 19. juli 2012 kl. 6:15
No probs. Thanks for making various awesome maps so I can comment on them. I only found out the other day of how to follow someone so today I followed you. That's why I am playing your other non penrose maps. About to play the harder laser emancipation now. You may hear from me yet again tonight. :P
Stratos  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2012 kl. 6:08
Yay, great to hear it. And thank you for commenting on various maps of mine. :D
