Heads up, just glitched my game. Froze and closed. Seems a good idea but I cant say more without testing it

The only way to get rid of the V1 beacon is to collect it and drop it on the ground.
Just press the demolition in the installed state, the server stops at all.

This is Greately usefull mod but, the resource conflict problem is very serious.
V2 is also very good, but it has limitations. It's a matter of color choice.

Hope this gets updated soon. Shame it causes crashes when you try to click a beacon or craft one. But it still kinda works for me cause I just play on a private server with my SO, you can still spawn a beacon using commands, and drag it to your hotbar. Once it's on your hotbar you can just craft and place them from there.

Not easily fixed SF. Unfortunately I had to separate the beam out into a separate actor in order to fix an issue with rendering them at a distance that was introduced by an optimization in one of the updates. If I was had time to work on the mods it might be possible to update the position on an update cycle but that might have performance issues as well.

the beacon when placed on raft will be moved correctly, but the light shaft will stay in the original position when it is first placed. Not sure if this is fixable (or just don't use on rafts)

The mod seems cool, however I didn't installed because it is free to craft and seems it has no decay timer, this means lot of troll can fill the map with these personal beacons. Bad idea to install in a transited server. Please update the mod to add a setting for personalizing a lifetime value in minutes or hours.

Same problem: "Personal Beacons" crashes the server since the last patch is out if a player wants to pickup / destroy a beacon.

Yes I have to concur with the crash. I been crashing latly not right away but eventually. Removed many mods 1 by one and this was the naughty 1. Since I turned it off no crashes. Sorry man. A good mod never gets any rest lol.

Don't believe it has anything to do with redwoods. Looks like every second beacon is turned off on a client restart. I imagine I have a loop issue but haven't worked out where yet. Imagine I'll have a fix soon.

Also have noticed what we were talking about with the beacons not staying on. It only seems to happen in the redwoods. Give it a test sometime you will see what I mean

That would be true. Unfortunately in order to stop the beacons from disappearing when Wildcard changed the way stasis works I had to separate the beam from the base so you could see the beacons at a distance. I could probably update the beacons position to match the base when I do my other checks but I won't be something I get to soon.

This is true and I've basically noticed what you said too. I agree it's not a game breaking issue but just thought I'd share. As for mods I use a few but there from the more popular modders who seem to be on top of things like that. The guy who does structures plus and about half of pegis. I know when I first started there's alot of mods out there that are pretty messy and don't play nice with others lol. So very rarely do i mess with just random one's without paying attention:steamhappy:

Beacon does not need to be first in general, but it is alway possible that some other mod causes an issue.

I thought I might have seen something like that on my owner server Cap but wasn't sure. You should find that turning any beacon on and off turns on the ones that aren't working. I'll see if I can work it out soon. I'm working on a bug in my pet res mod right now that is a little more urgent, but should get to it soon.

I been having a little bit of a issue to they work but not. Even tried deleting and unsubscribe and still my issue remains. ...here is what happens. Every beacon I placed before the last update works nonstop. The new one's I make work but there's a catch. After I start up my single player game all the new ones are not visible until I craft a new one put it down and turn it on. Then all the other beacons come back on until the next time I restart my game. But I can confirm that the ones that were placed before the update (where they got bigger) work just fine. So still a tad buggy

No longer is it just some simple little beam in the sky lol. It is a pillar of the gods lol:steamhappy: didn't read the patch notes until after I started my game and bam! The pillar of light in my base was glorious lol.

Mod updated to fix disappearing on death plus made the beams more visible and a new model for the base that is more like the old one but matches with the beam better.
