Just stambled into this as I was looking for mods on the workshop for a bookmark that goes past the latest 'a feast for crows' for base AGOT and this was the only one. Nevermind it being an old outdated submod, I got excited thinking I found smth up to current canon for the winds of winter sample chapters, only to discover this is based mainly on the nonsensical show lol. You can imagine my disappointment.

So is this just dead/doesn't work?

So when I subscribe in the workshop, I can choose the mod in the game launcher, but the bookmark doesn't show up. I don't know a lot about modding, so what should I do?

Sup dude :) I was wondering about the events on the mod. In particular, if it's doable to post events from the mod to the base agot mod (because the whole submod is no longer compatible, right?). In particular I read somewhere in some forum that there is the whole "Jon gets killed and resurrected and so he doesn't break his vows cause he already died" events i'm highly interested in, because right now there is no "good" way to play as Jon and either go for the North or the Iron throne, allying with daenerys or things like that

I'd guess youre getting a corrupted file, doesn't seem to be an issue with the file because it works fine for me.

i try to use the DropBox link but every time i try to extract the file it says faild for some reason. any idea why?

if you are using the workshop, probably. It some recognizing my dev mod so can't update it.

when i try to play as Jon Snow it just starts and continues as if i am playing A Feast For Crows. Is there something im doing wrong ?

open the winds of winter .mod file in documents/paradox/ck2/mods with notepad aand fix the formatting that workshop broke. Or use the manual link to install it there.

Workshop is doing the annoying thing where it won't let me update random mods. This one is updated on the manual link.

Yeah I saw them, just not feeling great so not working on stuff.

Try it again? I updated it two days ago cause jon's history had a hidden error that broke the north history. Outside of that, IDK I don't have anything close to those issues.

cant play as jon snow it wont remove nights watch and no events pop up for both bookmarks

idk, I tried it before commenting and didn't have that issue.

Can't play as Jon Snow at all, in both starts it comes up with an event that i cannot exit at the beginning or it will allow me to go through a few days before my screen is spammed with them...

Hi would really like to use this sub mod as it looks great but every time i start as Jon Snow an event pops up at the start of the game which only shows a portrait of Jon and some Maester from the citadel with no way of closing it, meaning i can't get past the beginning of the game

Sorry to be one of those guys, but is the mechanic where people just continuously spam "rumor" spreading events on you until you have -300 opinion modifier an intended mechanic?
Each one gives -50 opinion, people hate you less for executing their kinsman lmao.

I mean only 4 people had to plot against me with absolute impunity to make every single character in Westeros my rival, even my lover/friend/spouse was plotting to kill me.
Because of a rumor? That I can't prevent or even clear?

And is it also normal for this "opinion malus" to last for *10 years* ?

I like the Winds of Winter timestamp, but maybe tone it down on the whole rumor spreading thing, had to turn off the mod because it doesn't always ask whether or not I'd like to "play with these mechanics".

That new/beta v2 definitely starts out with a bunch of missing characters to where for example Jon owned every single Northern title except the Barrowlands

1.5? Yes, though much of the endgame for the scenario was crashing in 2.7 patches so I had to remove it to get it to function in 1.5

Are you trying to use the workshop version? It's out of date and the workshop breaks the .mod file when I upload. So you should use the link below, but if not you have to fix the .mod file to look more like this

Just checked it and dorne seemed ok
I had to strip out endgame code cause it causes crashes in 2.7 patches for some unknown reason, so title removals went with it.
I bring them back to do the RLJ and FTF stuff since that's were the show went.

Well Dorne titles are buggy because Daynes,Blackmonts and Ellaria Sand are gone in main mod so whole Dorne is held by some noble.

I am not sure whether "temporary" titles of Sansa, Jon, Edric, Arianne, Dany are working correctly when they win claim wars, cause it seems to me like that they are still kept by those characters

And isnt Arya and Bran supposed to be officialy dead/missing and then able to be revealed by "rulers army in province events"?

I am going to give it a further testing though...

Well I consider this submod of yours an essential part of AGoT improvement submods on the same level as Congenital Overhaul or Colonize Valyria are for example

Is it worth it? I had to strip out much of the scenario code to make it not crash on 1.4.1, Paradox haven't fixed the problems causing the crashing as far as I'm aware.
