This mod does not work for traveling to many cities and my carries do not work after uninstalling on current playthrus.

So many bugs

I like the idea for the mod, it is a good thought to increase immersion. Unfortunately, I experience multiple bugs with it installed, which often break the immersion. Sometimes the horse will run into a tree or rock and it will continue to walk there for eternity. The "stop the carriage to get out" feature doesn't work, nor does the "wake me up when we get there" feature.This means that whenever the horse gets stuck on something, (which happens frequently) it stays there and there is no way to get out of the location other than reloading an old save. Even when the horse doesn't get stuck, the carriage will crash the game while on route to the next city 50% of the time. Other than that, it completely disables the vanilla transport system, meaning that carriages essentially cannot be used. I understand this was an ambitious mod to make, and I admire your willingness to make it, but it simply has too many game-breaking problems. Do you have a guide to safely uninstall it?

Terrible mod. Commands for the driver don't work, and makes my vanilla carrige system not work either. Horse gets glitched on everything. One star for the idea.

I tried looking into the Nexus updated version but the Nexus website is so slow (crashing) and requires registration, etc. I really hope you decide to try an updated mod version here on Steam again? One day?

the carriage keeps going ontop of the default carriage how do i fix it.

Sollar stopped working on this years ago. Its successor is Touring Carriages, on nexus in mid-2013, brought here over the Labor Day holiday.

Yeah the carraige rid is fun till the guy forgets how to speak english but I think I'll keep it installed anyway

It's a nice idea but works stupidly. Once I get on a carriage I am unable to get off or go to sleep. After telling the driver I want to sleep or get off, nothing happens. He just says "Woah!" and continues driving. None of the keys I press do anything. This is stupid. Thanks for trying but this mod is messed up.

I'll of course say the concept is amazing. And until the carriage bugs it's fun to ride in. I'll remove my comments if and when the bugs are fixed. Modmaker please work on these bugs, they're beyond game-breaking in some cases and annoying in others. And one question, why not upload a hearthfire version in steam? I'd download the fix but I am unfamiliar with nexus mods and unwilling to use most because I prefer the ease of access provided by the steam subsribe system. Is there a reason it can't work with steam workshop? If so I won't add that to my large (possibly undue) list of complaints.

The concept is great, I'd love to use this mod. But sadly the mod just won't work. Like I said I just end up stopping dead, and no in-ride commands work, but I recently learned it also disables the ability to interact with the carriage, so even vanilla carriages are disabled with this mod active. The worst part of this mod's growing list of bugs is that it broke Lakeview Manor. If I get anywhere near the carriage spot (no carriage yet hired for breezehome, so I assume that's why it bugs, trying to spawn a non-existant carriage) my game crashes instantly. So with this active I can't use carriages in vanilla or scenic and I can't access the home I moved my wife and kids to.

I have a bit of an issue. The carriage ALWAYS gets stuck. I've tested 7 paths now and all result in the carriage stopping dead. Asking to be woken up upon arrival doesn't do anything in this case and neither does asking to get out there. Any known way to fix? I keep just using coc command to get where I need to go but it's frustratingly slow that way.

@WerePack you know I had the same problem but before I even saw this mod it is a Bethesta glich or carryweight too big so leave the mod alone and if you wonder how I even got my thing back well I just reinstalled my game.

Had to comment in 2 parts (thanks Steam **1000 char***)
So I Dled and installed the 1.2 from the Nexus and just wanted to post my thoughts after a first run. Everything seems to be working right with the 1.2 version so far.

This is an amazing mod. Perfect for the RPer who likes to kick back, relax and take a scenic ride of Skyrim.
Now the best part- Realistic Ragdolls and Force + More Animals + Immersive Patrols + Scenic Carriages @ default speed and in 3rd person = Carriage Rides of Comedy Gold.
Coming down from Riften and hitting an Elk. LOL. Going along a cliff road and knocking 3 goats and a bear over the side. LMAO. Crossing a bridge at run speed where an Imperial patroll is and all of them go flying off into the river. OMG Im dying here!!
Major +Karma to all that worked on this mod.
I hope it continues to be worked on even if you dont use Steam.

Now for the, I guess "no so good" things
1- Carriages are too big, bulky and unwieldy for Skyrims small windy mountain roads.
Not you alls fault. Bethesda just didnt think anyone would make something this ambitious, so they didnt make carriages and roads that go together.
Many times getting stuck on rocks/trees/lightpoles. Riding DoH style on 2 wheels and almost tipping over. (havent actually crashed yet, but close)
Maybe if there was a Scenic Carriage that was half the size. Only carried the driver and the player.
2- Speed- Best seems to be Fast Walk. Default Run is just a bit too fast on these roads. Though its f***ing hilarious when you hit things
I havent tried the other faster speed. That seems like asking for trouble.
Walk is just....., Doesnt seem needed.
Maybe if the speeds auto adjusted depending on when the road condition is.


Other than that. AWESOME!

@WerePack I use this mod and it works most of the time for me. Plus if you want to use Vanilla Carriages again, there is an option in-game in the book that you can get from driver. To fix your problem you need to download the 1.2 version from the nexus and use the shutdown option in the book when your not in the same area as the carriages. And this is a great mod, but yes it does have bugs, that I am sure will get fix. Also, at lot of the reason I think mods don't work like they should is because Skyrim is a 32-bit and not 64-bit game.

@WerePack i doubt that this mod was designed to break anyones game also there's porbably an easy solution: unsubscribe and delete all files related to the mod!

I have reported this mod.

This mod broke my game. You can no longer vanilla carriage travel! When you attempt to travel, he stops talking, nothing happens, and money is not taken! I hate this mod! The buggiest thing ever! You may as well go get the thomas the tank engine dragon replacement and be better off! I even attempted to fix this crud by uninstalling the mod, did it work? No. Now, scenic carriages has been unsubscribed, wiped from my computer, and everthing. The problem is, that despite all of that, anytime you try to travel by carriage, you talk to the guy, choose where you want to go, and he says "climb on back and we'll be off". No money is then taken, and if you "climb in the back" or "use carriage" then you climb in and it glitches out. You can leave the carriage, but it now does nothing and is horribly un-usable! I simply cannot figure out how to restore this! I re-installed Skyrim, and the issue still persists. I hope this piece of total garbage gets taken down from the steam workshop!

i got to say this, when i did add this it just gives me (Vainalla) and nothing else even i press ok and chose solitude it didn't get me anywhere. i didn't see can you give me the book i even saved before i add this mod. this is not what i thought it will be and i thought what it showed in the video. I wanted soemthing like this so i can veiw the land but no. I don't know if there is a bug or a glitch but this is not cool to something like that when i try to get this mod for what i thought i wanted to be

Not a very good mod sad to say, its very buggy with actually using it, I'm not able to fall asleep when in the carriage and sometimes the carriage will run over NPC's (Which is humerous) but it breaks immersion, after I uninstalled the mod I am unable to use the carriages and the chat option about the guide book and vanilla carriage travel is still there, so not a very good mod at all. Until the bugs are fixed I don't reccomend it.

the travelling works fine, but I can't get out or "go to sleep" while I'm in the carriage. I talk to the driver, and it shows me all of the dialouge options, but when I choose one, nothing happens and he keeps driving. I always end up using console commands to get out (I do get the notice that it should not happen, though nothing bad has happened yet

When someone attacks the carriage, it disappears and stops with your camera's X axis frozen

Does it implement the unused Carriage rider lines? I believe there was like two dozen lines intended to be said by the drivers while passing certain places(The one example I can give from the top of my head is Honningbrew meadery)

After I uninstalled it, I could no longer use carriages and had to give up a day's worth of progress to go back to a save before I'd downloaded it. Thumbs down.

It never works for me,every time when I do a new game,it just has everybody standing out of the carriage,but the story doesn't progress..

Hi i just dled this on nexus and it works, i used 1.2b version and also dled the loose files, but I am lost on where to put the loose files, theres so many of them plus when i start the game everything seems to be working but the dialogue with the driver I assume they are in the loose files? Any help is appreciated,

should it be high or low in my load order? cause it's not working for me. the drivers is sunk into the cart and i can't get in or even talk to him.

so wondering if you are going to be able to fix the CTD between riverwood and falkreath??

Ok, nevermind. I went into the game and insatly my carriages were fucked up. First the one in Solitude had another horse and carriage, then the one in Markarth wasdoing an endless wheely. It might be because I have a ton of nature mods but, still O_O
