There is an easy solution for the bug I found, just on the mod config menu simply deselect the class and it can now level up. It even keeps track of the kills made, just 1 promotion per mission of course.

It does not work with LW2. There is an odd bug, if you use it with LW2 any class selected in the mod menu you can go from rookie to squadie as one, but once you do they will never get a promotion again. I think this is because LW2 changes how the psi operative works.

The perks would all still be from whatever class the soldier is. You'd be given 3 random perks to choose from except at squaddie, where you'd just receive the default squaddie perks. The other difference is that if you, say, pick a sergeant perk for a squaddie, they'll remain a squaddie until you pick a corporal perk, at which point they'll jump to a sergeant, or higher if you've picked perks for consecutive ranks past sergeant. I'd only make that change because there's a special exception for Psi Ops in the code that I can't easily make for other classes without creating a major incompatibility.

@Legion Prime: I haven't gotten around to it yet. When/If I do add it, it probably won't be quite identical to vanilla Psi Op leveling mechanics due to technical issues I'd rather avoid.
