Typh, if i remeber right they are actually the most common, there is even thery we have a brown dwarf with an extreme orbit

(aka the hardest stars 2 find)

A strange fact, is that Binary stars are actually pretty common. But I am glad that htis mod adds Binaries.

I thought it worth noting that the mod is still working in the current version. I'd like to suggest though that the amount of binary stars get lessened.. is that a word?

this should be added

Well the entries in the gfx folder do nothing. With them i tried to fix a bug and than I forgot to delet them. Now I try to make the galaxymap star icons different. Sadly, untill now I didn't figured it out how it works.
And for the stars that spawn to close, I work on that. I think next Wednesday I update the mod.

Another mod exactly like this already exist. And still works with the latest patch.
But yours is updated, and has more stuff (what purpose does the gfx folder entries do? the stars still look single in the map view).
Some stars are spawning a bit too close though, they often intersect.
Love the first screenshot though, when they almost touch, so dont move em out too far =)

Just an idea, would it be possible to add the stars as custom "planet types", so that way you might be able to have a star system spawn 2 of these star "planets", and have "moons" around them that would simulate individual planetary systems around each star?
And basically have nothing else except for those 2 "star planet types" orbiting the center.
Realistic enough for people? :p

Mr Shoobers, speak to Paradox about that, cause they have Alpha Centari a Habitable planet, and that system is a Trinary Star system.

Good mod. Works, and I think it's a good addition. Unrealistic, yes, but then again, this is a game.
Prince Myshkin 25. juni 2016 kl. 3:38
looks ok to me, system scale in stellaris isnt necessarily realistic :P
shoobers 24. juni 2016 kl. 5:47
Unrealistic. For binaries to have stable planetary orbits, the second star has to have a fairly distant orbit compared to the planetary orbits. Stars that close to each other would wreck havoc on their systems. In addition its very unlikely any would be colonizeable.
